Fredrick's first night in Rome had not been the most productive one. He had spent the better part of three hours nursing a pint of beer in a crowded pub in the hopes of hearing more rumours of the creatures said to inhabit the shadows of Rome. That had turned up no results, and more than a few embarrassing conversations with some of the drunks.
But now Fredrick wandered the streets of Rome aimlessly. To be honest, he didn't know what to do with himself. He didn't have a spectacular amount of money or anywhere to stay.Sighing, he took another drag on his cigarette. A car sped past, sending an icy deluge of water over his lower legs. With another sigh, Fredrick let his cigarette fall, crushing it under one boot as he turned his gaze heavenward. Knew I'd have a bad day today...

Finally Szandor had let her visit Rome. Lucia had always wanted to visit the city her mother had been born in. Although she had been informed many times that the Rome Alena had been born into was not the Rome of today, Lucia was eager to be anywhere that had been close to her mother. As the night grew on, so did Lucia’s excitement and she left the hotel that would be her home for the next month or so. She couldn’t wait to look around the city, hoping to catch any hidden glimpses of her mother’s history buried within the modern-day tourist trap. It was still a bit hard for Lucia to believe that Szandor had actually let her go alone, but she wouldn’t have minded his company. Lucia walked through the streets with concealed interest, masking her glances so she would not be taken as a tourist; she knew about easy targets, and tourists were always the easiest victims. Much to her dismay, though, the few places of interest near her hotel closed before the sun set; d**n Daywalkers ruining her fun. There was something very wrong with a city that closed at sun-down. Scowling, Lucia turned the nearest corner, unsure of where next she should try, and ran face-first into a red haired woman looking skyward. “What the Hell!?” At a second glance, and an incoming scent, the red haired Human turned out to be a man; taking in the sight, Lucia noticed the dampness of his pants and the overall discontent he seemed to be in. She furrowed her brow, and started to say something about how he should be paying attention to where he was going, but stopped herself because she hadn’t been paying much attention either. His emerald eyes were stunning, but Lucia stepped back to relieve the awkward proximity to him, and brushed some of her hair over her shoulder. “You okay?” She would not apologize, but would at least see if she had harmed the Human.

Rickter had been out since just before sunset today, searching for an easy victim before they all started to abide with his curfew. He hadn't found anyone that looked, interesting. Until now. A red haired man, he started to follow him for a while. Staying silent, flying above him, his wings concealed by his cloak.
Rickter's face contorted in surprise as he noticed the guns at the humans side. A hunter or a military man then. Neither were aloud in this city. Time to die then. He pulled his gun-blade off his back and aimed down. He was about to squeeze the trigger when the human looked up. He swore out-loud as another being crashed into the human.
It smelt like neither vampire nor werewolf, then again, it wasn't human either. What was it? He quickly changed his siting to this new being, but waited.

Fredrick was startled by the brunette woman crashed into him - his low blood pressure had caused him to faze out again. "'m fine," he muttered, taking a step away from her. Already, he was feeling awkward.
Something flickered in the corner of his vision, and Fredrick glanced up again, his hair falling out of his eyes, his hands straying to the guns at his hips. He hadn't seen anything, but tension was coiling in his gut and the back of his throat felt dry. Two things which, to him, symbolised danger. "You do know the stories about Rome, don't you?" he asked, his tone oddly low and dark. He paused, unsure as to whether to step deeper into the shadows or further into the street. Finally taking the girl into account, he did the latter.

Lucia looked about quickly, had she heard someone swear? "Yes," Lucia responded the man she'd run into; didn't everybody know the stories? "Rome is the home to a host of Vampires." Her voice was calm, and matter-of-fact. That was the reason Szandor had been so stingey about letting her visit the city before now. But Lucia didn't have any quarrels with Vampires, not that she had had much interaction with any; it was just the Vampire Victor Van Alberict that she hated. She watched the Human's hands go for his belt, and glanced around briefly for herself. It seemed like she was being watched by something other than this man, and she hated that feeling; but perhaps it was just this guy's paranoia getting to her. She scratched the back of her neck in irritation to rid this feeling of being studied; it was too potent to just be her imagination. Looking back as the red-head stepped into the street, Lucia noticed the guns at his belt, a bit surprised that he would wear them so openly, "What the Hell are you doing?! I'm not a Vampire." The street lights hit her eyes, accenting the crimson in them. Lucia barred fists at her sides and watched the guy she had run into. Perhaps the Human felt the gaze too, but he was crazy if he thought he was going to attack her.

"Hmm?" Fredrick glanced at the woman again. "I'm sure you're not," he muttered drily. His eyes wandered back up to the sky again. "Are you getting a weird feeling?" He stepped further into the yellow light of the streetlamps, trying to find something in the dark skies. After a few seconds, he tore his gaze away and shrugged. The feeling was probably his expecting to get attacked, it would round off this night perfectly. Reluctantly, he let his hands fall away from the reassuaring grips of his guns and tried to quench the feeling his gut.

Rickter watched as the two conversed, his expression becoming more and more amused as it went on. He glanced upwards himself and realized the sky behind him was pitch black. That was why they couldn't see him. He smiled to himself vanishing.
"Just out of curiosity, what is it you're looking at?" He appeared in between the two. His gun-blade was now back in place on his back, and his cloak carefully concealed his wings. His daggers too were hidden. He bent his neck to look up not caring about the others reactions. Shock he imagined would be the first.
He had no intentions of fighting just yet. He didn't know what one of them was.

A weird feeling? The feeling of being watched couldn't exactly be classified as weird for her, but the intensity of this gaze was definitely stranger than many of the gazes she had received before. Before she answered the Human's suspicion, another being appeared before her. Lucia moved her shoulders back, as if to step back without actually stepping; he'd certainly come out of nowhere. She looked at this stranger, no Human for sure, scanning his full height and demeanor. "You," she told him, "And what was it you were looking at?" She suspected him of being the stalker, and it would be revealed in time. For a moment her glance flicked back toward the Human, but then resumed their unwavering stare at this new man. Did he think he was going to claim this Human?

Fredrick raised an eyebrow at the appearance of the stranger, but made no other move. The only other one he could think of was to go for his guns, and bringing attention to them would probably be a bad idea, whether this person had noticed them or not.
He certainly wasn't human, it didn't take much to realise that. Unless there had been a sudden technological leap in the last twenty seconds and teleportation had come in to play. At the moment, Fredrick wasn't entirely certain what he was. Of course, this caused a feeling of edginess which made him step away. Not far, but at enough distance to give himself some breathing room. Instantly, he began devising various scenarios. From what he could figure either this new being was an innocent bystander, and had, for some strange reason decided to approach or he was the cause of Fredrick's feeling of danger. Which had only gotten stronger.

Rickter put on an expression of mock surprise to Lucia's words, he then relaxed into his normal kind face.
"Was I that obvious?" he grinned for a moment before continuing to speak. "What are you? You smell life a vampire, and a wolf," he leaned closer to Lucia and breathed in the scent of her neck. For now the human was not of concern.

Lucia kept her gaze with this tall man; he was quite handsome when he wasn’t feigning surprise. She had heard that the Vampires shared a special trait for beauty, and certainly the ones she had met had lived (or unlived) up to those standards, but this man was something else. Although, she’d always had a weakness for black hair and blue eyes, maybe because her mother owned such, but there was just something deep, mysterious and infinitely striking about such a combination of traits. Lucia did not move as the Vampire moved in for a better smell, “You have a good nose. I am both in one. Vampires are capable of expressing passion, I can testify.” She smirked coyly. Szandor had always told her not to reveal what she was to others, especially Vampires, but she wasn’t a little girl anymore. She didn’t see why it would matter, but she could take care of herself anyway. “Do I threaten you?” Her smile was soft, and she looked up at the Vampire sweetly.

Rickter stood silent for nearly half a minute contemplating what she had said. He knew hybrid's existed, yet had only met one. And that had been captured for him. To be honest he didn't even know if Lucia threatened him. Perhaps yes, because of the ancient war, but then again, perhaps not, as he was trying to be friends with the Lycan's recently.
"I am uncertain if you threaten me," he said removing the gauntlet on his right hand. He reached out to touch Lucia's cheek. She felt both cold and warm, an odd mixture. Rickter didn't think it to be possible, then again he didn't believe in Vampirism until he became one. "I don't think you do, unless you try to," he smiled at her kindly.

She smiled at his touch and words, but did not introduce herself. Instead, she glanced back toward the Human with the guns on his belt, and asked of the Vampire, "Are you hungry tonight?" This Vampire seemed agreeable, much as Lucia had expected for she knew no reason for a Vampire or Lycan to despise her, and so she wouldn't mind sharing the Human with him if it came to that.

"I am," he smiled letting his teeth show, "my prey is standing no more than four paces behind me," his eyes started to turn red as he readied himself for a fight, the human had guns, which would mean it thought it stood a chance. How foolish.

Fredrick raised an eyebrow at this all too expected turn of conversation. Really, they could think of something new... He let his eyes wander over the two figures for a few moments. It was a pity he had not met either of them before - it would be so much easier to judge their stregnths and weaknesses with more than a few minutes of conversation at his disposal.
The next moment, he had jumped back, guns in hand. At the moment, he supposed, distance would be best. Though he would not start firing until one of the duo attacked. It just wasn't his style.
