Sara knew that the shot was coming, and she knew that he was alone. The only reason he intended to run, was because he knew he was alone. She focussed her eyes on the bullet, and it stopped and dropped to the ground. She turned just in time to see the human leap from the building. Stupid mortal. She watched from the roof top, as he lay on the ground. There was pain in his ankle.
She watched as the new vixen made her way to the mortal. He took a few shots at her, and Sara watched curiously as the girl darted from them. She was quick, her reflexes moved that was for sure. So was this man, but being in the military would have made him like that. But he took the bullets. To his chest, the thuds took him and threw him to the ground.
There was no smell of blood in the air, so they had not penetrated his skin. Sara quickly transported herself to the ground, taking her human form. She stood but a few metres away from him. Enough to be ready to dart from a planned attack.
“I pity you human,” she groaned, “First you find it amusing to follow a helpless girl, second you jump of a building, three you hurt your ankle,” she pointed out each movement he had taken by counting with her fingers while watching him, “Four take bullets to the chest and Five pretend to be dead. You must think me stupid seriously. A vampire can smell blood, but none comes from you. Your breathing is not evident, but your heart still beats. Do you seriously think that one such as me is going to take the bait and fall into your trap?”

Brandon listened to Sara speak and did not make any noise or movement for the moment. His ankle was on fire and he wasn't even sure if was going to be able to stand to make a breakaway even if he killed one of the vampires. He said up slowly and looked at the two vampires. " I may have followed her, but i did not threaten or make an attempt on her life in any way at all. " He said calmly as he looked at the pistol and tossed it aside. " Do what you will. " He said as he lay back down.

Alanna was holding the bullet wound on her side as it pained her, but still was standing up straight. She waited for Sara o finish talking with this human and him answering before she took her chance on stepping forward. Brandon now was not holding his pistol anymore, sitting on the ground, and Sara was there, she thought it was safe enough. She walked toward the two of them, her pistol still in her hand, ready to shoot once more. When Brandon talked now, Alanna suddenly felt as if she should be knowing this man, she recognized his voice from somewhere in her past. Alanna had not let the vampire inside of her take all power over her, but instead, tied to fight him off and suppress him. Often, vampires forgot the past of their human life before, but Alanna tried everything so that this would not happen. When she was standing close to Sara, about 2 meters away of Brandon, she asked a question: "What is your name?" Her voice was a little shaking, she was sure she knew him from somewhere, but did not know who he could be. Maybe he would recognize her at last, as she was in her human form, she wondered. Or, maybe she was totally wrong anyways.

Sara smirked. He was in pain. The pain glowed in his ankle like a furnace. Her eyes could see it, her mind could sense it. As he lay flat, still trying to hide the fact that he was alive Sara had to contain herself from laughter. Which she did when he sat up and spoke. He had threatened her, the moment he had aimed the gun in her direction.
Sara watched the other Vampire, she was young. Sara could sense a connection between the two, but the nature of that connection she could not find. As he flung the gun across the ground Sara moved to take it up. She took it up, and took out the bullets. Letting them spill across the ground. They wouldn’t have harmed them anyway. They were not a pure steel. They spilt across the ground like empty shells. Sara then cracked it threw the middle. It was now a retired weapon. She smirked to herself and threw it’s remains into the darkness.
She let the other vampire move closer and demand his name. But what were they going to do with him? Let him go? Or take him and use him? She would leave that until they had discovered who he was. She already knew him as an authority figure. She had seen him at Washington, at the White House. Occupation already established. But his name was not yet found.

He looked up at the woman who had strode forward and requested his name. He hesitated to give it. He was not clear of what her intentions were, for he had never met a vampire that requested such a thing. He was silent for a moment, debating his mind whether to tell them who he really was. He decided against it, for Sara had seen him before, for he had seen her before. " My name is John Sharp. " He said calmly so that there was no hitch in his voice for them to catch to prove that he was lying. " Who are you and why do you ask? " He asked in a more demanding tone for as he stood his ankle began to swell even more from the pain and the broken bone.

Sara watched the fool. He gave his name, but it had taken sometime to do so. Which she found quite suspicious. She watched him stand, and slowly moved behind him, “You lie,” she said. Accusing him of what she knew was to be true. He lied of his true identity, for there was no-one of high authority by that name in the human world. Sara knew, she had gone through files at the White House.
“You are a Resistance Leader,” Sara said slowly walking around, like she was interrogating him, “I saw your file in The White House. Am I wrong match the name Brandon Smith to your face? I doubt that. You have a sister, no?,” she watched him. He had tried to appear fierce and strong when he demanded the other vampires name and means for her asking of him. That was where Sara found their link. She would not say it out loud, they would eventually figure it out for themselves.
She watched him with a sidewards glance. Humans, they thought they were really smart. When really, they were quite ridiculous. So, they invented many things that gave them a better living and defence. But not all of it aided them in survival. That is where their weakness came about.

Alanna had not moved her gaze away from Brandon, she guessed he was lying when he told his name at last, it had taken a few moments for him to speak. She thought that either he was not telling the truth, or hoped that they thought it was a lie. She was about to answer his questions when Sara spoke, proofing Alanna's thoughts. She looked up to the other vampire, frowning a little, the name 'Brandon' woke some memories in her, and when Sara spoke on of a sister, she knew for sure, Brandon was her own brother. She turned back looking at him. They had lost contact for a long time now and she almost had forgotten about him. Now, she just wondered if he wouldn't remember her, he showed no sign that he recognized her. She remained silent for the moment, wishing for him to speak.

He looked at Sara and grunted. " Well you would indeed be wrong in placing my face with that name for that is not my name. As i stated before my name is John Sharp. However, yes i am a part of the Resistance and i have killed thousands maybe even hundreds of thousands of your kind and yet it never seems to be enough. " He said coldly as he spit in her face and looked away from her, his arms folded.

Sara rolled her eyes, “Will you quit with the lying?” Sara watched him, “I know who you are. You can no longer deny it, Brandon. So quit with being a fool.”
She watched him like a hawk. Her eyes keeping an eye on each muscle, but at the same time starring into his eyes, like he were prey. Yet, she would not kill a mortal, whom was unarmed nor had any defence except for his fists. That, these days bored her.
“Your intentions towards my kind do no need to be proven. I do not care how many you have killed, for I have likely killed as many as you. If you try to evoke fear in me, by this, you are utterly mistaken. Why do you deny your true name? Why do you hide your true identity from those whom already know it? What honour is in it?”

He listened to her and said nothing. He was done talking, he did not wish to engage in any sort of conversation with these two vampires. He had nothing else to say. He did not wish to give them any more information. His leg hurt so much by now he could no longer continued to stand on it. A moment later he collapsed onto the ground from the pain. He grunted as he hit the ground and lay back on the ground. " Just finish this! " He said coldly and closed his eyes and waited.

Sara laughed, “What? Your expecting us to kill you? We have honour also, Brandon. I will not kill a soldier who is unarmed,” she looked to Alanna, “What do you propose we do? We could leave him here, take him hostage, take him to a nearby hospital. Your choice. I’m in no mood to kill, so if you’d rather that option he is all yours.”
Sara lifted herself up onto a bin and sat watching him, as he lay on the ground. He must feel pretty bad, she thought. He is being attacked by two women and loosing terribly, that is enough to put any man down. Sara felt something trickle down her fingers, she looked at the palm of her hand and noticed she was bleeding. Was I her blood? Yes, it was. She found the wound, it was open and there was a piece of metal in it. She withdrew it and threw it across the ground. Blood was boring. Why did so many whimper about it?

(Sorry that I'm posting so little, the first term in university is taking up quite much time lately. I'll try to change this again.)
Alanna wondered why Brandon would not admit who he was but pretended to have a completely different name before he broke down, apparently his foot was hurting him. As well, she wondered why he wanted them to kill him or at least capture and afterwards torture them. Sara let her decide what to do with him, but for Alanna it was clear what to do. She would not let him back here, injured, but rather wished to take him to the hospital, for sure she would not want him to be killed. So she spoke "I suggest taking him to the nearest hospital, after he is able to leave there again we still are able to take him as hostage."

Brandon listened to them talk. He rolled over onto his stomach as they discussed what they should do with him. One of the woman spoke of sending him to a hospital. Well he was against that idea. He slowly reached his hand into his jacket so that no one would see and pulled out a small transmitter. He pressed the button on the transmitter and instantly in the nearest Resistance base the signal began to go off. It was a distress beacon that should only be used in case of emergency. Brandon only hoped the response time was fast enough as he placed the transmitter back in his jacket and continued to lay there.

Sara nodded to Alanna, “He is your captive. Do whatever you wish with him,” she took a glance towards him, but lucky enough for him she did not notice him taking out his transmitter. She began looking at her hair for dead ends, and slowly plucked them out.
“But, if you take him to a hospital, he might let out a distress call,” she looked at him again with a suspicious look, “If he hasn’t done it already. You also place yourself in risk of being sighted, which means that all forces working against us, will know what you look like. On the other hand, if you take him to a hospital you will be playing the good samaritan. Just be careful what you choose.”

Alanna had not noticed Brandon activating the transmitter that probably would call even more vampire hunters, but she was thinking what would be the best to do. Sara was right, in the hospital there would be more than enough notices for him to try to escape or get help. “No, you are right, we can’t take him to the hospital then. Let’s take him as captive then, although I don’t know where to take him.” She spoke to Sara. “I don’t know much yet about being a vampire.”
