Arai stared out the window, much like she did every morning. There was something a bit relaxing about looking at nothing in particular. Lost in her own thoughts, she heard the man's voice cut across the room. Turning to face him, she noted that he looked exactly the same as he had the day before. He did not have a very exciting sense of fashion, she thought wryly. "Much," she replied, feeling a bit more kindly this morning. The fact that the pain had lessened and also that she was getting steady meals for the first time in months did a lot to help that. Eye ing the food hungrily for a second, she then pinned him with her keen light brown eyes and said, "So, what exactly do you want to know?" Arai believed in cutting to the chase; no beating around the bush for her.

Cameron smirked and walked over to Arai and placed the tray by her bed. He then walked over to the opposite side of the bed and checked her vital signs. She was alright and she was stable. He turned around, " I'm going to take out your IV. You are doing much better." Cameron said calmly and removed the needle and then sat down on the chair and looked at Arai, " There is a change of clothes in the closet when you feel fit to change." Cameron said and then figured he best answer her first question, " As to what i need to know...well, frankly i haven't heard anything from you or Alena, or any other of your kind. We need to know what is going on." Cameron said calmly, not in a threating way.

Rubbing the small spot left by the needle, Arai gazed at the man. "You haven't heard anything from me because your men beat me to a pulp," she stated. "And as for this Alena, I do not know of her," she said with a shrug, "I've only been a werewolf for a few months, and I'm honestly not all that thrilled with it" Motioning towards the white scars all over her stomach, Arai said, "Actually, I wasn't even supposed to be a werewolf. I would have died if my friends wouldn't have chased the beast away. So I should be dead right now."

Cameron sighed when he heard her say that she didn't know anything of Alena. It was a shame, he did need to know what was going on. He scratched the back of his neck with his right hand and sighed again. " Well, so many times i should have died too, but i'm not dead and neither are you." Cameron said and then walked over to the window. " There have been some reports, someone is looking for you in town." Cameron said, turning back to Arai, " I don't think we have the name, but we know he is a werewolf. He is under the impression you are being tortured here." Cameron said calmly as two guards walked past outside.

Another werewolf? In Hawaii? She frowned a bit, trying to think of who it would be. "I honestly don't know who it is," she finally said, "I don't know of any werewolves here in Hawaii." Her life just kept getting stranger and stranger. "I would advise that you not aggravate whoever it is," she said, "because that will not help him be convinced that I am fine. At least now I am," she added a bit darkly. Changing the subject, Arai said, "Anything else you want to know? Your commander, Mr. Smith, did say that I would be subjected to tests and such. Though he did not keep up his end of the deal."

Cameron laughed slightly, " My commander....ah, no he is not my superior. I am my superior and he is his own. We are of equal rank, in truth i have been in the army longer than him and when it comes to field experience i surpass him, so he is not my commanding officer. This is my base Arai, i control everything that happens here. He isn't even here right now, although i here he will be coming in a couple of days if not sooner." Cameron said calmly, " But if you wish to be separated from him, i can arrange it." Cameron added, " In any case, your friend already stirred up a little problem in a local bar with one of our new agents so we will be on our guard for him, hence the increased security." Cameron said and as if on call, two guards passed by again.

She cocked her head at that. "I see," she said slowly, "extra security. Makes sense." No matter how well-cared for she was, Arai was still a captive. A war prisoner, as it were. Though she was glad she was no longer under the 'care' of that arrogant Brandon. "No, do not take any cares to separate us," she decided, "he will not have the satisfaction of keeping his men's disobedience under wraps. And I did save his life, so I would like to assure myself that he is healing adequately." Even though she had no measure of respect for the man, she was still a doctor at heart.

Cameron nodded his head and walked back towards the window, " Well i hope you do get better Arai." Cameron said and turned around, " I hope you don't feel encased here. You are free to go whenever you wish, that is if you wish to leave." Cameron said, " I am sure that we can find your werewolf friend if you wish to depart with him." Cameron said. " But you are also welcome to stay, i do not mind and it is not a burden on us." Cameron continued.

"I hope I get better too," she said. "Don't look for him; if he finds this place and specifically asks for me by name, then you can show him in." Arai decided that if this mystery werewolf wanted to find her so badly, he'd eventually show up. For now, she was content to stay here. In reality, she really didn't have a choice, due to the fact that she couldn't walk yet. "I shall stay for now," she stated, "I will decide whether I shall leave or not when I am well enough to leave on my own two feet." She hoped it would be before the full moon. That could be disastrous.

Cameron nodded his head. " Ok then, i hope you get better then. We are going to have some storms tonight so the moon probably won't be as visible. But, if you can get up, there is a bathroom in the room to your left and you are welcome to walk around anywhere on the outside halls and courtyard. Here..." Cameron said and placed a tag down on the dresser near the door, " These are dog tags, show them to anyone that questions you and you will be fine." Cameron said and then moved to the door. " Oh, and lunch will be brought to you at noon." He concluded and left slowly.

Arai chuckled a bit dryly to herself as he left. Dog tags. Rather ironic, considering who she was now. She had always enjoyed the subtle nuances in words and tone. For now, though, all she felt like doing was eating that breakfast he had brought. So she did, eating it properly, but quickly, consuming all of it, to her surprise. She decided to concentrate all her energy on healing, and she needed food to heal. Her hunger satisfied, she now felt a powerful need for a shower.
Swinging her slender legs off the bed, she tried to ignore the stiff soreness in her left leg. When she stood, the world spun around her, black dots swarming her vision. Arai sat down on the edge of the bed with a creak as she tried hard not to faint. Finally, her vision cleared and she stood up again, slowly this time, letting the blood drain carefully from her head. Then she limped towards the bathroom, trying not to put pressure on her right leg. There were clothes there, as he had said. Closing and locking the door behind her, she was about to take a shower when a thought struck her. Were there any cameras in here? Intently looking at the walls and corners, she could see none. But even then she felt a bit wary, so she wrapped herself in a towel. When she stepped into the shower, she sighed with pleasure at the soft touch of warm water on her dry skin. Sinking down to the bottom of the shower, she closed her eyes and leaned her head against the wall, letting the water wash her clean.

Time went by more quickly than Arai assumed. One of the guards came and placed lunch down after removing the breakfast tray. The man heard the shower running and assumed that was where she was. He picked up the breakfast tray and walked out of the room as four guards passed by the door. There were clouds covering the sky as the rain prepared itself for the long night of badgering the ground. There was a brisk wind whipping through the complex. The United States flag blew magnificently in the wind from the elevator tower. Cameron was still down below in one of the basement chambers. He was talking with some others about Arai. Cameron wondered if she would stay or not, only time would tell.

Arai opened her eyes, feeling refreshed by the firm pelting of the water. Her bruised back was much helped by the warmth and the almost massage-like shower. Standing, she quickly washed herself, then turned off the water. Drying off, she dressed in the clothes they provided her. Rather nondescript; just pants and a black shirt. Nothing special. Rubbing her flame-colored hair vigorously with the towel, Arai limped out of the bathroom. Noting the tray of food that had been refilled as if by magic, she sat on the edge of the bed. Looking out the still uncovered window, she noted the stormy skies and the wind that was evidenced by small pieces of leaves blowing by. She would not be surprised if there was a thunderstorm tonight. Dismissing the thought, she turned her attention to eating. It seemed like that was all she did nowadays; but she wasn't really complaining.

The day went past pretty quickly and sure enough, the rain came and it came hard, really hard. The rain beat against the windows as if were trying to break them. The wind whipped about and caused trees and power lines all of Honolulu to go down. The guards of the buildings however, stayed firm and continued their rounds as if nothing out of the ordinary was going on. Twigs slapped against buildings and people and clumps of leaves blew in circles off the ground. The flag had been lowered because it wouldn't have been able to stand up to these rigors. Lighting flashed in the sky and so many times from an insiders point of view, it looked like the building at been struck. Lights flickered on and off and air conditions turned on and off at random. At about seven, Cameron, well drenched came into the room with some food. It was just some soup covered with tin foil. " How are you?' he asked as he brushed his right hand through his hair.

The day had dragged on for Arai. Surrounded by the whiteness of the hospital-like room, she had quickly gotten bored. Though she tried to nap, the rain and booming thunder awoke her on more than one occasion. The lights flickered, on off on off, and the wind whistled menacingly outside. From her view out the small, ground level window, it appeared to be a tropical storm, ferocious and powerful. She shuddered, drawing the sheets around her as she sat on the bed. Arai had always disliked storms. And yet, as a bolt of lightning flashed down like a judgement from above, she had a powerful urge to go outside. For some reason, something inside her craved the raw power of a storm, the feel of complete exposure to the whipping rain and rolling thunder, to laugh at the gray skies above. As the lights flicked out once more, the door opened, and Arai turned, snapped out of her thoughts. It was the man again she saw, as a flash of lighting illuminated the room with it's cold white light, and he looked completely drenched. "I am feeling fine," she replied, turning to look out the window again, draw in terrified fascination to watch the storm outside.
