The Tribe of Pallintine hails from the Baltic region and are some of the wealthiest industrialists in the Vampire Nation. Their vast wealth has allowed them to blend into society somewhat invisible.
The lair of the Pallintine tribe is located in Norway. It is in no city, no rural area. Drake does not like a lot of people being around the lair because it is a liability risk and he knows it. The lair is a five story country house from the eighteenth century. From the outside it looks rather dim and run down, but the inside of the house is well furnished and kept up. Drake is not one of the vampires that likes darkness and dingy settings. He is an upperclass vampire and he lets those around him know it.

Jasper walked towards the decrepit building coming unequipt. For once he didn't have a musical instrument at his side. Today the cloud cover was heavy which allowed Jasper to walk about without sizzling to a crisp. He felt awkward walking into this person's house, but he could sense that it was a vampire so it wouldn't be as awkward. The house looked to have been out of its glory days for quite some time, but all that didn't matter, he knew what lurked behind it was to be more elegant. He had a different taste, he preferred the dark, not necessarily mouldering and gross he had a little more class than that. Jasper stepped through the door and into the main room, "Hello?" he called out to the house.

The inside of the building had relatively nice furniture, at least nice enough to not be considered the slums. However, there didn’t really seem to be anyone in the area, or at least not in the main foyer. There was a dim silence for a few moments until there was an answer to him. It came in the form of a man walking out of the shadows of the room to the left of foyer. “How may I help you?” Drake asked, looking at the man that had come into the den. He was an interesting fellow. He could feel that he was a vampire.

A man now met his gaze from inside the den. "I'm not really sure. I came out this way to hunt, and saw your den in the process." Jasper decided to be more confident and walked over in Drake's direction. "I'm Jasper. Is this your den?" The tall musician gestured to the room surrounding the two men. Although he'd ran almost three miles a drop of sweat didn't make an appearance. It was one of the many perks of being a vampire. Jasper felt intrusive for coming into this strange man's den, he didn't really thinkg about coming in before he actually did. Hindsight was always a b*tch.

Drake continued to survey the vampire before him. He was young, not as well muscled as himself. Oh well, a vampire was a vampire and there were given their own strength beyond their physical appearance. “It is my den. Do you seek refuge?” Drake asked walking towards the man and then brushing past him, closing the door behind him. Drake didn’t usually like guests or other vampires, but it had been a while and he needed news of the world. Perhaps that vampire could inform him.

"Yes, would you mind if I stayed for a while? My base is a while away." Jasper tried to explain. He didn't want to devulge all the details at this moment, he didn't know Drake and was almost regretting invading the privacy of his home. "It won't be more than the night. I just need somewhere to wait out the daylight." Vampires didn't need sleep, but they did need refuge from the deathly rays of the sun. The morning was creeping up on him, and all Jasper wanted to do was to duck into a dark room and wait it out.

Drake would like to know which base Jasper was currently lodged at. He wanted to know his affiliations to other tribes of vampires. He wouldn't ask the question directly. There were other ways of acquiring the needed information. Needless to say, he nodded his head at the man's question, "I give sanctuary to all of my kind. However, i can not give you all the food you desire. What is in this house is mine and not to be touched by my guests. Is that understood?" Drake asked. He had certain, lady friends here that he needed to attend to at a later time. He wanted to interference from Jasper.

"Thank you for your hospitality." Jasper accepted. He raised his eyebrow at Drake's immediate protectiveness over his women. In a way he understood, he'd always been protective over his women, but never to an extent to bark at a stranger. "I won't bother anything. I respect another man's space as I would wish for another man to respect mine." Drake gave Jasper an odd feeling, he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he felt a boiling temper settled beneath his skin. "What clans are you affiliated with?" Jasper asked conversationally, trying to connect with his host.

Drake smiled, laughing just a bit at what he said about what clan he was affiliated with. It was a funny thought, to think that Drake would be anything but he was. He was a vampire Lord. "It isn't a matter of whom i am affiliated, it was more of a matter of, who affiliates themselves with me. I am the Grand Master of the Pallintine lair. This is one of our safe houses." Drake said calmly as he walked back in front of Jasper. Behind him a woman walked down the stairs, coming up behind him, putting her arms around his waist.

"Ah, well that makes sense." Jasper folded his arms over his chest, his tanned muscles bulging. He felt as if Drake was trying to demasculate him, and the thing with males of any race was to seem the toughest and the wisest. The woman slipped down the stairs and wound herself around him. He smiked, now he saw Drake's ego inflate even more. Jasper thought of the man code, when a woman wanted some the accompanying man was to make himself scarce immediately. "Do you happen to have a piano?" he asked, trying to find something to do to get out of the couple's way. Jasper was unsure if he was going to feed, or if the woman was a vampire herself, he couldn't sense it distinctly.

Jasper couldn’t sense if the woman was a vampire probably because he was simply not old enough yet. She wasn’t, but that wasn’t the point. She would become one in due time. Of course there were women that Drake enjoyed that weren’t vampires and he usually had no intention on making them vampires. In any case, when Jasper requested a piano, Drake nodded, beckoning to a room across the hall with a nod of his head. “Yes, we do have one. It’s a grand piano; if you are an artist then you will enjoy playing on it. You will find that it is rather well tuned.” Drake said calmly. He leaned over and kissed the women with a smile, moving his hands behind him onto her waist.

(I'm 88, thank you. A vampire for 70 of those.) Jasper continued over across the hall past Drake and the woman. "Thank you. I'll be the judge of that." he replied to Drake. He found his way into the room and at the dusty, glassy bench of the piano. Gently he sat at it, and began to play Furioso, making it grow louder with each note to drown out the noise from the rest of the house. Jasper wanted to make sure the couple knew they had privacy. Right now he felt like Drake's b*tch, he felt the need to step out of the way of the vampire. Not because he was scared of him but because he wanted to treat him with respect. Drake was pushing it with his pompous attitude, it wouldn't be long before Japser broke and took it out on him. He questioned himself as the loud angry melody followed, Why did I even stop here... It just figures that I had to stop in on this house. A woman, he thought, appeared in the corner of his eye. Keeping Drake's threat in mind, he turned his head to check. No one was there. Jasper shook his head and continued playing, pushing the woman out of his head.

Dawn was coming and Drake knew what that meant. His safe house was about to be flooded with members of his clan. Some would bring friends; others would bring the new minions from the night. Drake would be ready for them. He went around the house and began to close the blinds. The curtains were a dark red color and extremely effective at holding back the deadly rays of light. Drake had left the girl alone for a while during this time and she had found her way over to Jasper. She smiled as she watched him play, “You’re hands work quite well.” She said in a soft voice as she watched him. Drake was in a room across the hall, closing the blinds. He didn't really do anything besides that because he wasn't going to babysit his vampires. There was simply no point in that. They had to learn to kill eventually. He was still thinking about Jasper, about his affiliations. Every now and then other clans would send spies to spy on the other clans. He wondered if Jasper was one of these.

The earth rumbled as dawn approached them, the sun readied itsself in position in anticipation of its next movement. The woman stood before him now with out Drake to accompany her. Jasper stared down at his piano, he was glad it wasn't what he thought. Questions roamed in the back of his mind that maybe the dazzling ghost form of Diorah was back to plague him again. "Thank you," Jasper replied to her compliment. He was wary that he hadn't seen or felt any other vampires on the premises, most of them should be in by now. "How many others stay here?"

She smiled and walked a bit closer to him. "Have you been playing long?" She asked, her voice smooth and delicate. She moved one of her smooth hands to his shoulder looked down at him as he sat on the bench, "Could you teach me to play like that?" She requested, raising an eyebrow, brushing her hair back behind her ear with her free hand as she spoke to him. Drake was still closing blinds when the first of his kin entered. They bowed respectfully and Drake nodded his head calmly in awknowledgment. They were going to start coming in now, by the tens. Drake walked to the front door and unlocked it as two more vampires came into the house, bringing four women with them. Drake didn't say anything. That was normal for those two particular vampires.
