Cameron didn't have to watch Adele to know where she was going. The seals that were swarming the building, on the rooftops could monitor where she went with motion sensors and watch he through skylights. They alerted Cameron to everyone motion that she made and every turn that she took. She did seem to know her way through this particular area very well. She had been her before, she had been here many times perhaps. She wasn't just passing through. Cameron, after a moment of searching on his own decided to find Adele, wondering what she was up to. His men told him exactly where to find her and he moved onto her location as she stood looking at a pair of steps. Cameron raised an eyebrow and looked at them, " What have you found?" Cameron asked calmly.

The lifeless face staring at Adele from the steps had been one of the older Lycan women in the Den, she remembered. The vacant in her eyes was horrifying and Adele was positive they would haunt her dreams for years to come. But the effect was hypnotizing as well, and the blonde teen found herself just standing there for minutes on end, unable to look away, unblinking. The decaying of the woman’s flesh and the position of her head made an agonized expression, which suggested life. But Adele knew there was no more life in the Lycan. She was so focused on the empty gaze of the corpse, that she actually hadn’t heard the soldier approach her. But at his words, she straightened her back and turned to face him, her hands in her hoodie’s pockets. “Nothing…” She glanced back at the steps, “I can’t believe the bodies are still here.” They should have been cremated or something. Adele looked back up at the Seal, staring through him with her sad, grey eyes. She should have just left and come back later. It felt like she was being watched, and she hated that feeling.

Cameron looked down at the lycan bodies, " Well bodies don't exactly decompose all that quickly so it makes sense that they are still here. Then you have to take into account that this is a secluded area and no one would know or have any reason to come here and find the bodies. Therefore no one would be alerted to the fact that these bodies are here and no one would come to remove them. Although i do agree, they need to be disposed of. They, as of now can only cause disease." Cameron said and sighed as he looked a lycan skewered on a pole by a door. Cameron went over to the door and pushed it open, shining his light down the stairs. " Hmm, a basement. Do you know what is done there?" Cameron asked, turning around and looking at Adele.

The Den was pretty secluded, but still, so many people lived here, and the explosion had been so large. The incident had been on the news. Adele could only think that other agencies had been here 'investigating'. Adele followed the Seal with her eyes as he went over and uncovered the stairs to the basement. She looked at him as if to question why she would know what was down there; but perhaps it was obvious. Although she hadn't been down there that much, herself, she'd heard about the things that were kept down there. There were two levels of the basement, and they were built stronger than the rest of the Den, like a bomb shelter. Certain areas that even held particular information required a clearance code of some sort, Adele had heard. Adele did not step closer to the basement door, and just looked at Cameron. She did not want him to go down there. "Not really." Was her reply. This wasn't a complete lie, either. Adele had not spent too much time in the basement and had not been to all of its areas. Plus, it was likely Vampyres, Lycans, or vandals had already been down there and retrieved what there was to be gotten. "Maybe there are a bunch of traps planted in case an unsuspecting Human tried to enter." Adele tried to make this seem light, and laughed a bit, going along with the soldier's Lycan story.

Cameron wondered if Adele was hiding anything. If she was a werewolf then there was a probability that she was in fact trying to conceal something that their clan had kept secret. Cameron however, didn't want to intrude on her personal life or her clan by finding something that he wasn't meant to find. He wanted to keep good relations and all. He shone his light down the stairs again and there was a closed door at the bottom. Cameron turned around and pointed his gun at the ground, looking at Adele. His face was calm and collected as he looked at her. He needed to know what she really was and she needed to tell him before he continued with his investigation. " Ok, here is the deal. I find myself in an interesting situation. I don't know whether to believe you or not because i know of you and i suppose that could go either way and you could say the same thing about me. So be it. However, the fact is, i have a gun, you don't. I have men, you don't so as much as i don't like forcing information unless in absolutely needed, i am going to ask yo kindly. What are you? Because there is no way you are this familiar with this place, this not freaked out by the concept of vampires and werewolves and just happened to be here, to not have a role in all of this. What are you, and if you know, what happened here?' Cameron asked.

Adele was a bit surprised as the Navy Seal just came out with his suspicions and questions. But there was a grin on her face; she'd been outnumbered all her life. "My role... in all of this," she motioned subtly to the debris around them, "Is nonexistent." She winced, almost visibly, at the reminder. But her sad, grey eyes boldly met the Seal's questioning gaze. How could she trust him, this Human? How could she know whose side he was on? True, he hadn't made any move to attack her, despite his suspicions. But that was just as far as Adele knew, what if he'd contacted the other men and they were closing in on her? The blonde teen stopped and listened for a moment. No, the other operatives seemed to be right where they had been, doing the same thing they'd been doing. But this man was so unlike the other police and military she'd interacted with; he couldn't be honest. She had been chewing on the skin around her nails again, but hadn't noticed it until now. Promptly, she dropped her hand to her side. If he turned out to be hostile toward Werewolves, she would turn him; how was that for irony? Adele did not move from her position. "It was the d@mn Vampire bastards... I wasn't here, but I know it was them. Victor..." Her anger and sadness grew; she took a breath. "Killed everything that was important..."

Cameron looked at Adele and nodded his head. Well that didn’t at all surprise him. He had in fact actually figured that the vampires were the ones that had done this to the den. There was no other creature in the world that could possibly have been able to take down this many werewolves. Cameron shook and hung his head. He let out a sigh and then looked back up at Adele and nodded, his eyes meeting hers. He had a calm and reserved look on his face, his eyes not showing hate or anger towards Adele or her kind. “I had guessed that, but I thank you for confirming it for me. Victor…we have run into him before. I know that I have at least once.” Cameron said calmly. He let his gun hang on the strap of his shoulder, pushing it onto his back. He then took a step down onto the stairs leading to the basement. He turned back and looked back at Adele, “Should I still not need to look down here?”

Adele frowned, and looked at the ground. She was completely confused at this man's lack of animosity toward her. How frustrating. She shrugged one shoulder, "Maybe." And walked closer to indicate that she would go downstairs with him. "Not sure what still remains of the contents of the basement, or what you're looking for..." But she stayed behind the Human as they descended the broken steps. Out of habit, she threw her hood up over her head. She wasn't quite sure why she did so, just that it made her feel more secure. Her gaze flitted back and forth between the door at the bottom of the stairs and the back of the Navy Seal in front of her. She noted his attire and the equipment on his belt, as well as the way he walked and carried himself. "...What does The Resistance resist?"

Cameron reached the door and turned the handle. It didn't turn. Cameron figured it was locked and he sighed, turning around to answer Adele's question, " We resist vampires mainly." Cameron said calmly, " Apparently there is some kingpin demon on the loose trying to raise the portals of hell or something. We are keeping tabs on him too. Then there are the werewolves. We don't fight them, you, because well frankly you control yourself until the full moon. Then we tend to just disappear. The one's we know about sometimes we put to sleep for that night for their and the civilians protection, but just for a night." Cameron said calmly and then turned back around and placed his foot into the door and it gave way.

She was silent as the man tried the door and then turned to her. His answer intrigued her; was he speaking truth? Adele hoped they wouldn’t tranquilize her at the next full moon; she’d have to keep a look out for them. Although the position of The Resistance regarding Werewolves didn’t seem to be as permanently threatening to the Lycan’s lifespan, they were tampering with the nature. And they were investigating an old Wolf Den. If the Lycans were put to sleep on the nights of full moons, what other things might have been done to them? Perhaps Adele was just paranoid. When the door was kicked down, Adele immediately remembered which entrance of the basement this was, and she stood up tall to look over the built Seal’s shoulder at what was beyond the doorway. A long, dark hallway stretched on for about one hundred feet before meeting a T cross-section. Because of the damaged power circuits, the ceiling lights were out; and the soldier’s flashlight was the only source of illumination. But Adele could still see everything perfectly. The closest door along the hall was on the left, and down further there was a door on the right as well. Those rooms were unimportant now, and the doors were likely unlocked; they were merely guest and recreation rooms. But if one was to continue down the hall and take either a right or a left at the corner and follow the hall to the end of its stretch, one would find tightly secured rooms, and another set of stairs. There was a thick air to the basement that made itself known as the door was broken down, and Adele crinkled her nose at the odd sensation. It was strange, and was not something that was familiar to the Den basement. Something had been down here already, Adele now knew this for sure; hopefully it had been long gone though. She coughed softly and waited to see if the Navy Seal would enter the hallway or ask her directions.

Cameron moved down the hallway, the light from the flashlight on his gun illuminating the dark corridor as they traveled down it. Cameron looked back every now and then at Adele to make sure she was with him. He wasn't concerned that she would attack him. It was not a full moon and she was a werewolf. She only had her humanly strength right now and Cameron could probably overpower any human on earth. It wasn't because he was stronger, just because he was a Seal, the most highly trained killing machines in the world. Fascinating wasn't it? In any case, Cameron came to the cross roads and turned to Adele. He couldn't and didn't know where to go if she didn't tell him. Hopefully he had established some sort of trust between the them, " Which way?' Cameron asked plainly, looking down the corridor, his light flashing down both hallways as he looked down them. They were long and dusty. It didn't look to him as if anyone had been there in quite some time. However, he could be wrong. He hoped not though.

Adele walked leisurely behind the Seal, her hands resting comfortably in her hoodie's pockets. At the end of the hallway, they stopped; Adele, too, looked down both of the directions they could go, trying to remember where the room she had wanted to visit was. "Well, what are you looking for?" She asked the man flatly. If she was remembering correctly, they would be able to access either side, no matter which route they took, because the halls eventually led around to each other. But directly on the left, Adele thought that was where some of the general archives were kept of history, and specifically of events that the Lycans had manipulated. What was on the right was a bit hard for Adele to recall. The thickness in the air grew as the two walked further down the hall, and this was what was making Adele a bit uneasy. Along the hallway, down the right corner the heaviness of the air was stronger, and Adele took a couple steps down the right hall. She removed her hood, and rubbed the side of her nose; this feeling was not good, and she was completely absorbed by it.

Cameron wasn't quite sure what he was looking for. He was there just to look for anything out of the ordinary. He had found that we had found all of the dead Lycans. That was just freaking usual. Lycans were incredible warriors while in werewolf form, he had seen them fight at the white house. He knew this, something big, someone big must have done this and like Adele suggested, it was probably Victor. Cameron turned to Adele, " Archives, knowledge base maybe. We need to know about werewolves, so if there is anywhere that would be a good place to start, that would be an advantage." Cameron said and then his light shown on a fabric that was laying on the ground. He stooped down to look at it. It was relatively new in compared to everything else here.

Well Hell, Adele could tell him about Werewolves; all he or any other Human needed to know. She wouldn’t even have to lead him to the library of Lycan history for that. Although her information probably wouldn’t amuse the Navy Seal. Adele looked down the dark, new hallway, expecting to see something run across from one of the doors to another. But she saw nothing, only working herself up. Anxiety rose in her chest; she knew there was something down here, and she couldn’t ignore it. If the Seal had said anything else, Adele didn’t hear it. She sprinted down the dark hallway on the right, saying nothing to the soldier. Something unseen guided Adele around a few corners; it was just a sense that something else was present, this instinct. It didn’t feel good, but the girl wanted to face it. Slowing to a stop, Adele came to a secured door. Although the door would have been locked into place electronically, there was also a metal bar that was lodged into the door, preventing it from being opened from the inside or outside unless removed properly. The bar was a high concentrate of silver that would immediately send any Lycan pup into agonized hysterics upon contact. Only the older Werewolves, like Alena Wulf, or Adele’s master Perrin Goldeneyes, would have been able to remove the bar without significant injury. Adele did not look around her; just straight at the door. The feeling was very strong here; almost suffocating to Adele’s heightened senses, like the air was alive and trying to threaten her. Her heart raced faster. She reached out toward the silver bar, but withdrew her hand before touching the lock. Perrin had passed his gene to Adele in that bite, there shouldn’t be any reason she wouldn’t be able to remove this bar. But Adele always second-guessed herself. After a moment, she stepped closer to the door and grabbed the bar with both of her hands. It was hot, and her hands burned, but it was nowhere near as bad as Rickter’s bullets had been. Adele managed to shimmy the bar out of its lodge, and she dropped it to the ground with a clatter. She looked with discomfort at her blistered and bleeding hands, and flexed them to try and work passed the pain. She pushed the door out and open with her shoulders and forearms. A thick, invisible wall of smell overcame her at the opening of the door, and Adele stepped back with the back of a hand to her nose at the intrusion. “Ohhh….” Adele moaned as if in pain; the smell was absolutely terrible, but fitting to the scene inside the room. Inside the room were many barred cells, familiar to a prison, Adele thought. Some of the cell doors had been opened, but not all of them. Humans had been kept inside the cells it seemed, no less than two to one cell, and some had held as many as five prisoners. The Humans were obviously dead; at least Adele highly doubted that any had survived down here since the explosion of the Den. But some of them had strange lacerations on their bodies, like perhaps a Lycan had killed the Human, but they weren’t exactly the marks a Lycan would make. It took Adele a moment to figure out why there would be Humans held down here, but then she recalled something Alena had mentioned to another older Lycan about keeping the forest behind the mansion ‘stocked during full moons’. Adele took a few steps into the room, but kept an arm over her nose. The smell of decaying Humans was less than appealing.

Cameron watched as Adele ran down the hall. Cameron moved his gun up and the light on his flashlight followed her all the way down the hall until she disappeared around a corner. “d**n,” Cameron whispered and stood up from his crouching position and ran down the corridor after Adele, the materials on his uniform moving up and down, making a clinking sound as he ran. He turned around a corner and still didn’t see Adele. He ran to the end of the corridor and reached a crossroads. Cameron stopped, sighing, taking in a deep breath to catch his breath. He waited to hear something that would show him somewhere to go. There it was, a cry of pain sounded like. Cameron darted down the corridor that he presumed the sound to come from and came upon an open door. Cameron walked into the room and saw Adele standing with her hand holding her nose. Cameron looked at all the dead decaying bodies in the holding cells. Cameron shined his flashlight on all of the cells, revealing all of the dead humans. Wow, that wasn’t exactly subtle. Cameron walked beside Adele, taking a deep breath as he stood, looking at everything taking it in, “What is going on?” Cameron asked as he kept his flashlight flashing back and forth. Then a clanking noise in the far left corner alerted Cameron. He knelt down, his gun aimed in the corner. Nothing.
( Wow, nice post )
