Alerya cringed as the vampire went down the sewer, no way was she going down there. No. She heard the vampire cock a gun from below, but before she could grab Brandon to pull him back, the gun had already fired. Alerya's hands flew to her mouth in a gasp. Brandon pulled something from his belt and threw it into the sewer, Alerya took a step back, figuring that whatever it was would explode. "I'm not going down there." She voiced, looking at Brandon.

In a moment the grenade exploded in the hole and Brandon looked down. There was a cloud of smoke. Perfect. Just what he needed for cover. He turned and looked at Alerya whenever she mentioned that she was not going to go down into the sewers. He rolled his eyes and he swung around and began to climb down the ladder and then looked up at her. " Fine...stay on the surface and wait for the sun to come up in about six minutes. " He said with a half hazard smile before he continued to climb down the ladder into the sewer.

Alerya watched as Brandon went down the ladder. She cringed as her mind screamed in disgust. But it was go down into the sewer, or be ash. "Ewww." She groaned, as she stared climbing down the grungy ladder, she threw a look of disgust at Brandon's back, he had on some special uniform that could be thrown away or washed or something. She muttered in French softly as she climbed down the ladder, knowing she would have to stay under ground until the sun set, and she was not happy about that, but there was no where she could get to and hide out all day in less then six minutes. "Any good ideas now Spiffy?" Alerya asked as she stood on a small landing beside Brandon, trying to step on the cleaner places, which just wasn't going to happen.

Brandon looked over at her as she tried not to step anywhere where there was human waste. He shook his head. "women" he thought as he looked up and down the large sewer pipe. The sewers were by far large enough to walk in. He noticed a grate was opened to the left of him. It was another passage that was large enough to walk through. He turned back to her. " Shall we? " He asked as he ducked down to get into the tunnel and then began to walk down the tunnel as a terrible smell rose up from the pipe which was much stronger than before.

Alerya tried not to breathe in the smell as she followed Brandon down the tunnel. Even through the heat of the night, she was suddenly very glad that she had worn boots that day. "I'm Alerya, by the way." She said softly as they sloshed through the sewer, she tried not to look down around her. She just kept her head up, staying alert of her surroundings.

He looked back and nodded before continuing down the tunnel. " Nice to meet you Alerya. " He said as he stopped at the end of the pipe and saw a large river like liquid of flowing human waste. The smell was very disturbing, yet he was able to bare it. Apparently the vampire assumed that he could not be tracked in these conditions. On other occasions he would have been right, but Brandon had a very good sense of how vampires thought. He looked around again for a moment before sighing. " Care to go for a swim? " He asked as he gestured to the rivery waste. " Your vampire friend took a dive and swam to the other side. " He said calmly. " You can see the footprints on the concrete from here.

Alerya cringed again. "No way, and he is not my friend." She said, crossing her arms. She looked up and the cement ceiling, wondering if she would be able to crawl across to the other side, using some of her vampiric abilities. The sun was coming out soon, so it would have to be quick, but there was no way she was getting in that waste.

He cast a glance over at her and was rather annoyed with her attitude. He shook his head and picked up a broken pipe and thrust it into the watery substance to see how deep it was. It would go up to about his waist up up to about her chest . Yeah she wasn't going to like that. However, he didn't see any way around it. He needed information from this vampire so he needed to catch him. " Well then you can stay right here then. " He said with a nod before he plopped into the waste and began to wade across to the other side. He was across in a moment and pushed himself up and out as he turned around and looked at her awaited her movements.

She crossed her arms and perked an eyebrow at him. "Have fun." She said with a soft wave of her hand, through she had already seen small hooks in the ceiling of the tunnel they were in, if she could just reach them, she could make it across without ever going diving. She looked over at Brandon, waiting to see what he would do.

He heard her yell after him and he shook his head. He didn't quiet care all that much. After all he did not have enough time to argue with her. " Well thats your choice...." He yelled back to her so that he could be heard over the noise of the running water. " Stay there if you like, but the sun comes right through these grates. The only way to avoid it is to follow me to where i am going. I will give you two minutes because that is about all the time you have left. " He said calmly as he awaited to see what she what her answer would be as he glanced around looking for any more sort of tracks.

Alerya grumbled as she looked at the grate above her. It was almost light and she knew she couldn't scale the wall. She looked back at the river in front of her, then back to the grate. Alerya grumbled as she leapt for the grate, barely grabbing it, then finishing her jump to the other side. She was thrown a bit off balance, but recovered. She glanced at Brandon and rolled her eyes. She walked in front of him and turned right down another tunnel. "Down here." She said as she kept walking, not really waiting for Brandon, she was already ill at him.

Whenever she jumped, grabbing onto the grate and then swinging down to where he was he was rather impressed. He nodded slightly as if giving his approval. However, she seemed not very taken with him at the moment as she began to go down the tunnel telling him to follow after him. " After you then....." He said sarcasticly as he followed her down the pipe. The smells of the waste around them was extremely powerful and Brandon was having a hard time tunning out such things as they were very powerful considering they were walking in rivers of crap......

Alerya hated sarcasm, unless – of course – she was the one using it. She rolled her eyes thinking of how she would have to burn the clothes she was wearing after this expedition. What bothered her more though (more then chasing a vampire who could be armed with something to kill herself or Brandon) was the fact that she would have to spend all day in the sewer until the sunset. Then she could go home and lock her self in the bathroom to take an all night shower, and even then she wouldn't feel clean. The smell was, nothing short of horrid, but she was doing her best to block it out.
Alerya could hear the vampire moving in front of them, she knew Brandon couldn't hear yet, but she could. Her eyes darted around in the darkness of the tunnel, looking for the vampire they were chasing.

As the pipe continued to get darker Brandon took the flashlight out of his vest pocket and turned it on. " Don't step into the light. It is ultra violet, just like the suns rays, meaning that it will probably hurt a good bit if you come in contact with the light. " He said calmly as he shown the light down the pipe, just now being able to hear the sound of movement in front of him. He nodded to himself as he began to walk a little faster hoping to shorten the distance between him and his enemy all while coming up with a plan to slay Alerya as well. After all, two vampires in one day was a good day, even if the other one was supposed to be working with him....

Alerya debated weather or not to make Brandon turn off the flashlight, but came to the conclusion that the vampire could hear them coming, so the light didn't really matter. She stopped suddenly seeing something dart in front of her, only to find that it was a rat. She, once again, tried not to think about where she was. As they walked, she could feel a negative attitude coming from Brandon, and not just in her judgment on which way to go.
Alerya stopped and looked Brandon in the eyes, debating if his attitude was aimed at the vampire they were both after, or herself, or possibly both. Suddenly she had a bad feeling as she turned back and started walking, Brandon a few paces behind her. Suddenly she wished she had just left the car accident long ago, before his helicopter ever touched ground. But there was nothing she could do about that now, and no where to go, until the sun set.
