Alerya scratched her cheek lazily and looked at the man across the desk from her. Renting a car in Hawaii, she never knew they were so stingy with cars, it would have been less trouble to have her car shipped over from France, but that would have only made it easier for Jaran to find her. And anyone that would say, he wouldn't have been able to find her with that alone, had obviously never met Jaran. Not to mention that a Lamborghini in Hawaii was nearly crazy, another thing about Jaran, the vampire/man had more money then he would ever need in three lifetimes. Hence the black Lamborghini that he had tired of after only three months and she had claimed as hers.
She rested her elbow on the counter, her head in her hand as she watched the man tap away on his keyboard. She looked at her cell phone, she had been standing here half an hour already, and they hadn't even picked a car for her yet. "Look it's not too hard, I give you my credit card, you give me a key to a car outside." She said, grumpy now from the long flights. The man smiled at her and passed a key over the counter. She picked up the key and looked at it with a grin, seeing the Mercedes logo on the key.
As she walked out to the parking lot to find the car she was glad that to mortals she appeared to be one also, not a vampire. It was something that even slightly amazed Jaran. Most of the time, mortals could feel, some could even point out vampires, but not her, never her. To all she looked like a normal, mortal human. Though to other vampires, they could tell she was not. She threw her bags back in the car of the black Mercedes and got into the drivers seat. She turned on the air, already hot as she took off out of the parking lot. It was colder in France when she had left, and that was what her skin had been used to at the time.
After going into a realtor's office, trying to find a simple beach cottage to rent for a few months, she was ready to beat her head against a wall. How humans actually put up with these realtors for hours at a time, for months was beyond her. A few minutes and she was ready to go. She had to stay in a hotel for the nights, waiting for everything to be cleared so she could get into the cottage. She was hungry, and as she looked down at the back of her hand, the protruding vein and sunken flesh was a sign that she needed to feed. She sighed seeing she would have to wait a few more hours, until most of the city was asleep and she could feed off of some of the more. . . troublesome and less whole-some walkers of the night. They would the only one's she could bring herself to kill. The murders, and those of unjust morals, if she had to kill; at least she could try to make the world a better place. Jaran at times would mock her for that, her only killing the evil humans, and the fact that she was a reluctant vampire, never having a say in the matter.

As the vampire woman drove in her newly purchased car, Brandon as well roamed the streets. He was driving his new 2009 Camaro of a dark shade of red, like that of a color that could not be duplicated. He drove down the streets going at tops speeds coming up on the vampires car. He pulled into the other lane and went to pass her. As he did so he lost her in his blind spot for a moment and thought it was clear to cut into the next lane. As he did so her car clipped the back of his and his car immediatly spun around and flipped over three times hitting her car once on one of the spins. Brandon struggled with the seatbelt and in a few moment clambered over the broken glass window of his car and out onto the street and went to observe the other car and the damage to his own.

Alerya felt right away that the man who had cut her off was no good, she hated when someone cut her off. But her opinion of him didn't grow at all when he pulled her into a accident with his reckless driving. Men She thought. She looked over herself after the car stopped spinning, seeing cuts that would start healing in a few moments. She grabbed her bag from what was left of the passenger seat and started to claw her way out the window when an interesting sent filled the air. There was a hunter, a vampire hunter, near by. She looked around quickly trying to figure out where he was, and then to go kill the jerk that wrecked her car.

Brandon stood to his feet after crawling through the car window and shook his head. He looked at his arm and saw blood ontop of it but as usual there was no longer a cut for it had already healed. He shook his head as he thought about how he had come across such a 'power'. He walked towards the other car and noticed a woman emerge from the reckage. He rolled his eyes as he thought to himself. O great.... He walked over to her and decided to see how she was. " Are you alright Miss? " He asked as he looked at her totalled car.

Alerya got out of the car and slug the straps of her bag over her shoulder. She turned back around and looked at the wreckage of the black Mercedes, running a hand through her hair. She heard a man coming up behind her, and hoped that maybe all of the cuts hadn't healed yet, since it just would not look right for her to go though an accident of that magnitude and come out unscathed. She looked over her shoulder in a way that he wouldn't notice, she loved the advantages she had as a vampire over mortals, but there was something different about the one walking up to her, she couldn't place how but there just was.
She thought by walking away slowly, he would be dazed just enough to keep going on his own way. She was about to slink away into the night, since she was hungry and didn't have the patience to deal with anyone at the moment. "Are you alright Miss?" the man walking up to her asked. No, I was just only involved in a major car accident that totaled my car, but hey I crawled through the window, but no, hey I'm fine. Her mind sarcastically spoke.
She reached down and flicked a few pieces of glass off of her pants legs, where they were stuck. "Yes, I am fine. Where is the idiot that started this?" She asked, her French accent clearly showing through as she talked, she couldn't help it though, spending as many years as she had with Jaran in France, it just got to where it was natural. Also her temper coming through, ahh the French! "Are you alright?" She asked, looking the man over quickly, though her senses already told her that he wasn't bleeding anymore. Just get away now, Alerya, so you won't have to hurt him, her brain kicked in. She started walking around her wrecked car, on her way to the side walk as she waited for her answer from the guy.

He looked around whenever she mentioned the fact that she was unaware as it were that he was the one that hit her. He shrugged and nodded. " Indeed i am fine. I do not scar very easily, or so I have been told. ' He said calmly as he sighed. " And i believe that idiot would be myself. You were apparently in my blind spot and I clipped the front of your car as it were. I apologize and i am glad that you are alright. ' He said as he glanced over at her car and raised an eyebrow. " I wish i could say the same for your car however. " He said as he ran his hand through his hair as well. " I hope it was not knew. " He said as his eyes scanned the damaged vehicle shaking his head as he knew that it was a pretty sweet ride.

Alerya knew he was a vampire hunter, right away, but there was something else about him, that set him apart from all of the others. "Apology accepted, just don't do 80 in a 50 again, alright?" She asked, half smiling back at him. She walked back to look at the Mercedes, or what was left of it. Thank goodness it was insured, not like it would have mattered, that was pocket change for Jaran. She could just picture the call. Where are you!? You weren't in Paris so where have you run off to now!? Well, see this time I'm across the world, and I kinda wrecked the car I rented, not an hour after I arrived….. I would not have been pretty. "It was new.." She sighed, looking over the black heap that was her car. ship the Lamborghini over and risk Jaran finding me sooner, or just get a new one, ship the Lamborghini or get a new car?? She pondered for a moment.
She looked back at him, not in the eyes, she believed that the eyes are the windows to the soul, and that was not something she showed lightly to anyone. "Stupid question, but the Camaro didn't make it, right?" She groaned and rolled her eyes as her blackberry rang, by the ring-tone, she knew it was Jaran, since he had personalized the ring on her phone for when he called. The blackberry would be one of the few things to make it through the accident, because life is just cruel like that.

He nodded as she told him how to drive and couldn't help but cast a small smile as well. He as she turned to look at her car he looked her over. It seemed that she didn't have a scratch on her. That was rather interesting. He stroked his chin thoughtfully as he went over a few statistics in his head. He almost did not hear her question whenever she commented about the Camaro. He threw himself out of his thought and looked back at the totalled car. " No, that car is pretty much destroyed as well. " He said with a shake of his head as he thought to himself. What a shame. It was a sweet ride. I will have to pick a new car up tomorrow.. As he heard the ringing of her phone he stepped back so that he would not be all over her if she decided to pick up the phone. It was a respect thing.

Alerya felt his eyes scan her over, looking for scratches she thought. She knew they were all healed by now, but still she pushed down the sleeves of her long sleeved shirt, not caring about the heat, just that if he found out what she was, she couldn't let him live. She growled softly and punched a button sending Jaran to voicemail, she was most defiantly not in the mood to talk with him.
She debated staying until the police got there, but thought better. She walked towards the sidewalk silently, seeing that they man's back was still turned, maybe she could sneak away before he turned back around. He would probably turn around right before she was out of sight, as had always been her luck. But it was worth a try, sneaking off.

In a moment he turned back around and noticed the woman walking off. Well this, in his mind was extremely different. It was unusual for someone to just, number one, walk away from a violent car crash unhurt, then turn and walk away from the crash. Something seemed a little off in his mind. " Miss....where are you going? " He asked as he walked quickly so that he could catch up with her. " Are you sure your alright? You didn't injure your head or anything did you? " He asked calmly because now he was rather confused, but he was also thinking and some very interesting thoughts were popping into his mind.

Alerya bit back a curse, knowing she hadn't got away and that he was following her. She couldn't read his thoughts clearly yet, but she could catch bits and pieces enough to know that he was confused and that his mind was overflowing with questions. "To get another car." She replied to his first question as he tried to catch up with her. "Of course I'm fine, and so is my head, how is yours? Did you hit yours?" She kept moving, she knew she was ill. She was on the lam from Jaran, her car was wrecked, just when she was on the way to the beach house she had rented, some guy got her in a wreck and was now following her like a puppy and on top of all that, she was hungry. All wrapped together, did not put her in a good mood. Her blackberry buzzed in her pocket, letting her know Jaran had left her a message as she kept walking.

Brandon really did not feel like chasing the woman all that much but it was the correct thing to do. After all, he did not want to explain that to the insurance agancy. The fact that he crashed and the other person got up and walked away........He shook his head and ran up behind her and grabbed her wrist. He did not grab her roughly but enough to get her attention. " Miss...you can not just walk away. This here is America. We have laws and regulations that need to be followed. " He said in an annoyed tone of voice.

Alerya really didn't feel like having some guy tell her what to do, when she could snap him in a second. She was beginning to understand how the rest of her kind were so hostile towards humans. She yanked her wrist away from him, hoping he hadn't noted through the fabric of her shirt how chilled her wrist was getting, from lack of eating. She also realized that her luggage was in fact, in the truck of the smashed Mercedes. "I am no longer two, Monsieur." She said her accent getting heaver due to her being a tad annoyed.
She walked the few feet back to what was left of her car, trying to figure out how to get her luggage out of the back seat. She needed to figure out some way to get away before the police came, they wouldn't believe that there was not a cut on her body, they would haul her into the hospital anyways. And she could not go to the hospital. She stepped back and kicked in the glass of the back window, noting that she had cut her ankle in the process as she reached in for her bag.

He watched as she ripped her wrist away from his grasp and then walked back over towards her car, kicked in the window and proceeded look for something that was inside of the car. Brandon assumed that it was some sort of luggage or bag that she had left inside of the car. As he stood there a warm breeze blew across his face. Instantly it took him back to how cold she had felt. That was rather wierd. However, as he thought this, things started to click. No cuts or injury from the car crash, from Europe, cold flesh on a hot night. Yeah, the chances were good. He walked slowly over to the vampire woman, three silver claws slidding forth from his knuckles as he walked towards her.

Alerya mumbled under her breath in French as she pulled the bag from her crunched up car, she could feel the shards of glass still attached to the car biting through the fabric of her shirt, where her stomach was. She yanked the bag from the car, scratching her arm on the glass. She saw out of the corner of her eye, the man getting closer.
She turned around and yelped (since she thought he was starting to catch on to what she really was, it was time to play like any human tourist in from France). "Can I help you?" She asked as she saw how close he had gotten, and what at the moment was coming from his fists. It didn't really surprise her all that much, she had seen many, many things in her lifetime thus far, but any mortal woman would more then likely be terrified by this, so she just acted mildly disturbed. "What are you trying to do, scare me half to death with your tricks?" She asked, as she started walking away from the car. Her phone rang again, Jaran never really had much to do…. She punched a button sending it to voicemail as she started walking again.
