Sabrina walked along the dark streets looking down at the ground as she walked. She had grown bored decided to head out for a walk. Having not been familiar the area the new Vampire Base was built, she walked around the general area of the base where she knew she would remember the way back. She wasn't sure if she should've been out but she did anyway. It was her typical rebelous ways afterall. She was dressed in black, blending in with the dark making her difficult to be seen by human eyes. Many thoughts ran through her mind. The whole ordeal about being a vampire was still knew to her. Although she had learned some things, she still had a long way to go.

Rick after travelling from Mexico to investigate the new vampire base was now exploring the general area. In his opinion he much preferred Mexico, although it was nothing compared to his homeland of France but even that past was long gone and now consumed by the future. Rick wore his traditional garments from the Crusade era, liking to remember somewhat where he came from. His long black cloak which he wore over his tunic floated softly behind him as he walked, rustling in the breeze. Turning to his companion he said, "Nothing like France, is it?"

Rafael grinned toothily as he nodded, as he to was a Frenchman, if not long ago now. He walked beside Rick, his leader, smiling slightly at his clothes. He had always been a traditionalist. Rafael on the other hand, preferred to fit in with the humans, as it made it considerable easier to lure them into his embrace when he looked presentable.
"Rick, I swear, if we don't find something interesting to do I am going to go hunting and I won't be very secret about it either.." he growled softly in his throat. He hated having nothing to do, it always got on his nerves. Turning around a corner he came upon a woman dressed in black, whilst saying to Rick "I'm starving, so I might leave you to go in search of a night club and preferably a cut blonde ... they always digest so easily" he grinned.
Turning to face the girl, Rafael said "Well, look what he have here -- ". He looked her up and down and grinned, "Another fanged creature of the night" he laughed harshly. He was in a bad mood tonight, making his manner none to pleasant to those who did not know him.

As they walked around a corner, Rick responded to Rafael's earlier comments. "You think too much with your stomach my friend, and as to your mood at the moment I would not let you go out on your own because you are as likely to hook up with a woman as you are to create a bloodbath at the nightclub." he said softly.
Turning to the woman he said with a friendly manner, "Greetings my fellow vampire, I am Rick"

As Sabrina turned a corner, she saw two men doing the same. 'Great, people,' she thought bitterly. The really was not in the mood to deal with company. She looked up at one of them and crossed her arms over her chest. It wasn't until he called her 'another fanger creature' and took a moment to look at the two men, she realized that they both were also vampires. Her bitterness faded. She didn't know who the two were but she obviously was not to fond of the first one. It was his harsh tone she didn't like. The one who called himself Rick seemed to have more of a friendly attitude which seemed alright to her. She cracked a small smile and said in her native British accent, "Hello Rick. I am Sabrina."

Rick smiled at her, he could tell that Rafael's attitude on this occasion was not making any friends in Sabrina. He smiled slightly at her accent, he was getting tired of hearing the rough speech of the average american, and hers was a nice change. "It is a pleasure to meet you mademoiselle" Rick said softly, finishing his greeting with a small bow. Even through the long years and the wars, he had managed to maintain his gentleman like attitude, the same however could not be said for Rafael. "Am I mistaken, or are you British?" he enquired. "I take it that you are new here also?"

"You're not mistaken. I am British. From London to be exact," Sabrina said. "And I see that you must be French." she added recognizing the term 'mademoiselle.' She had heard French accents many times in her life and just hearing it now made her feel a little more at home in a foreign country.

Rick smiled at her answer, so she was from England he thought to himself. "Please do not mind my friend Rafael, he has not eaten recently and that always makes him a little grumpy" Rick said as he grinned and looked in Rafael's direction. "So what brings you to America?" he asked interested. "Would you care to walk with me, or rather find a place to sit and talk?" Rick asked as he looked at Sabrina softly.

Rafael rolled his eyes as Rick talked, always was a charmer Rafael thought to himself. Turning to Rick, he said "The France we know is long since dead, there is no need for formality in this world" he quipped. Rafael knew how far he could push his lord, before he would be in trouble, so he instead put on a more warming manner in which to address the stranger.
"Lovely to meet you Sabrina from London, I am Rafael from France. I am not always to stand offish, just having a bad night tonight." he finished, now standing in a silence. He cast a stray eye up into the sky, the night was still young, he had plenty of time.

"I see," Sabrina simply said. She wasn't surprised that Rafael's grumpiness was due to lack of food. She's seen it enough. "What brought me here?" she said repeating Rick's question outloud. "I merely just relocated with the rest of my vampire family," she answered. "I think I'd rather sit and talk. I don't want to wander off too far. I'm not too familiar with the area yet." Sabrina raised an eyebrow not really sure what Rafael meant by 'the France we know is long since dead.' They must have been around for a long time.

Rick nodded to her request, and now began walking over to a place where a few abandoned crates were possitioned. It was the most presentable of places in this area, and best of all it was quiet. Taking a seat on one of the crates, he sat with crossed legs. Agreeing with her previous answer, Rick said with a smile, "Aye, we too have been to America only a few times and all of which was not for considerable length."

Rafael grinned, some of his hair falling to hide some of his face as he looked at her. "How old are you by the way? I noticed your reaction from my previous statment about our homeland so I am guessing that you are not very old. I am only from the late 1800s, but my lord was part of the crusades which I think was in the 1100s ..." Rafael said trying to remember the exact year, history had not really been one of his strengths. He too sat down on a crate, he ran a hand back through his hair, pushing it back behind his ears.

Sabrina followed behind Rick, glad her understood that she didn't want to wonder far. Wheh they came upon the crates, she climbed up them and sat down on one of them. "This is actually my first time here. I have been outside England before just, never this far away." She looked over at Rafael as he asked about her age. Her eyes widened when he told his age. 'Wow,' she thought in her mind. "Actually...I'm only 18," she answered. "I haven't been a vampire long."

Rick smiled, "Well you will have many years to enjoy your new existence ... if the war goes well and the lycans are defeated" he said softly. His whole life had been a war, and he was eager to find it finished and to enjoy the peace that would hopefully ensue. "So how were you turned ... willingly?" he questioned, curious as to whether she had sought the transformation or if she had not".

"Indeed," Sabrina replied. It was true that she had many, many long years to enjoy her newfound life as a vampire, but there was still a lot to learn. 'Willingly?' she asked herself. It took her a brief while to think back to the time she was turned into a vampire. "I can't say that I was willing to change into one at first but soon after the transformation, I accepted it rather quickly."
