(mind if I join?)
Vampires indeed. At the moment Arai was quite convinced she was being followed by one. For the entire day now she caught sight of the same figure skulking in the shadows. Tall and sinister, something about him made her jumpy and on guard. Weaving her 5'2" frame through a crowd, she stayed in the center of the street, making sure to stay away from alleyways. Passing by a small cafe, she was forced to the side as a car zoomed past. A hand reached from the alley and grabbed her arm, dragging her into the darkness. Kicking and scratching, she yelled, "HELP!"

(feel free, Arai)
Namir raised her head, forgetting what she was about to say. She stood up abruptly, the screech still ringing in her ears, she ran towards the noise. "Come on." she shouted back at Perrin. Namir disappeared down the alley way towards the scream, tugging a hunting knife from her ankle strap. "Let her go." she commanded sternly at the dark figure, her grey eyes darkening under her brow. "You don't want to start something you can't finish."

The vampire's strong arm was around her neck, strangling her. A chilled, evil voice whispered in her ear. "Pretty little wolf, aren't you? I might kill you now, I might have fun with you first," he hissed. Her arms reached up and grabbed his, nails digging in, blood running in small rivulets down her fingers. Vampire blood. Then a girl stepped into the alleyway. She looked prepared for battle, knife in hand, eyes cold as she stared down the beast of the shadows. In that moment of distraction, with strength she did not know she had, Arai dug her nails in deeper, getting a good grip. Then she growled, flipping the non-man over her auburn head. He landed with a thud between the two. Arai's amber eyes glittered a bit dangerously as she flicked the blood off her fingers.

Perrin was suprised at the speed at which Namir stood, he toppled back off his chair, insitinctvly he reached into the powers bestowed upon him by his father and time slowed, not that anyone else would realise. Perrin continued to move at a normal speed, but those around him slowed down. At his young age and ability to control his new powers he could not slow time for long but it was enough. Standing up from the ground he caught the chair before it hit the ground and then let time continue at its normal rate. He ran after Namir, he didn't know why, but it seemed like the rational thing to do at the time. She was stopped at the entrance to an alley way yelling at someone. "Whats going on?" Perrin asked Namir.

"Care to have this?" Namir said, tossing a vial of holy water in her direction. Namir was impressed at how she took him down. "Good job." she said admiring her handiwork. She still wielded her knife, refusing to strap it back until she was sure it was dead.

Arai caught it deftly, barely noticing the man that ran in behind Namir. By now the vampire was up again, his souless eyes glaring at her, his pointed teeth bared in a hideous replica of a grin. "Do not mess with black belt!" she snarled as she moved towards him. Placing her size seven shoe firmly on his chest, she kicked him back over, knocking him into the wall. Popping the top off the vial, she figured it was probably some poison or something. It was worth a shot. Before the disgusting creature could get back up, she shoved it down his throat, open end first. His eyes widened, pupils narrowing to mere slits with pain. Then he was gone, in a puff of dust. Arai looked at the dirty remnants, then back at the girl. "What was that stuff?" she asked, a bit bewildered.

Perrin watched as another girl was in a fight with what he first thought was a man. By the colour of his skin and the large pointed fangs the protruded from his mouth he knew it was a vampire. Perrin was about to help but the girl dealt with the vampire like he was a toy. He then watched as the vampire burst into dust, he guessed that it was holy water in the vial Namir had chucked to the women. Perrin began to feel a bit uncomfortable as he was now in the company of two werewolves, thank god it was still day time he thought. "What the hell is going on?"

Ever vigilant in his watch over his prodige, he saw the girl leap up from her seat and rush outside. the man named 'Perrin' followed. It seemed as if a young woman was being assaulted, and if he didnt know any better, Namir was going to make the assailant pay dearly. Good girl... she learns fast. Pete though to himself. Hopping from rooftop to rooftop, he looked down into the street. He leapt off the side of the building, landing gracefully on the ground below. His heart pounding as he saw her. "ARAI!" He yelled, thanking god she was unharmed.

Perrin watched as another person joined the group, he guessed this was another lycan. Hunting in packs now? Perrin took a few steps back so he was visable to passerbys, he didn't want to be dragged of into the alley unnoticed. Perrin had fought werewolves before, but most of the time they were by themselves hunting weaker prey and it was usualy at night time, so it was lucky they were here during the day. "There will be more vampires around, perhaps we should leave the alley, you know they cant walk in the daylight."

"Holy Water." she said to Arai, watching the vampire denigrate before her eyes. Namir's face twisted into a sinister smile. She turned to Perrin, "Uhm. So, uh Perrin. Meet, Arai, and Pete. Pete and Arai, meet Perrin. He's not that favorable to our kind." She stated this folding her arms defensively but sternly over her chest, slipping her blade back into its sheath in her strap. "Anyone else following you that we'd have the pleasure to destroy?" she smiled wickedly again.

Arai nodded. That explained it. Perrin, was it? His golden eyes were strange, very unusual, like intensified versions of her own light brown gold eyes. He wasn't running, yet he knew they were lycans, so she guessed he was no normal human. Then Pete dropped in. "Hey Pete," Arai replied cooly. That boy worried too much. "No worries, I'm not dead yet. But I think that was the only one following me. Why don't we take Master Perrin's advice and move to the light, eh?" she suggested. Arai did not like darkness; it never held good things.

Perrin gave a cheeky smile to Namir. "You know im alone Namir." He said as he walked back into the street grateful to be out of the alley way. Perrin turned to Arai. "Don't belive ol Namir, i am related to one of your 'kind'. Just the few of you who unessacarly hunt humans are the ones i have a little problem with." Perrin said with a hint of a warning in his voice.

"Related?" she asked curiously, meeting his golden eyes. "Yet not a werewolf? Strange...." This was a twisted world they lived in now, that was for sure. "I can assure you I am not one of those," she stated firmly, "I did not ask to be a werewolf and I still have not decided if I like it or not. I dislike the human-hunters; it was one of them that attacked me." she said darkly. Arai was still haunted by that, by the unnecessary death that resulted. Shaking off the bad memories, she continued, "But Pete does not hunt humans, this I know, and I don't know about Namir over there. Though, if she is with Pete, I guess she must be fine." Glancing over at her, Arai decided she looked dangerous, but not necessarily to humans. She didn't have that look in her eyes, the one that anyone killing one of their own was forever marked with. Arai knew that she herself had it, and always would.

"It's a long story." Perrin said. One that he did not wish to go talk about in detail, let alone at all. "It is good to hear that there are some lycan that still have control over their wolven side, but it is something that all will struggle against. Something vampires can't do, they all give into their blood lust, guess that vampire just chose the wrong person to make a meal of." Perrin looked over his shoulder to see if Namir and Pete were following.

Namir walked behind slowly, she agreed, as much fun as destroying a good vampire was, she didn't want to do it unnecessarily. That'd be cruel. "I don't hunt humans, that's definitely out of my moral code." she stated, her eyes drifted across this motley crew that she was walking with. What an odd group they must look like, she thought to herself. "My apologies, Perrin, but you gave me the impression that you were in a heightened sense of things." the smell of his sweat still stung her nostrils, she could smell his fear. "Don't be nervous, we won't bite. We're in control."
