Rickter and his chosen ten vampires positioned themselves and the nuclear bomb they had underneath the Eiffel tower, they went about their business not caring who saw. They'd killed two security guards already. The countdown on the bomb had already reached a minute by the time they had concealed it.
The ten chosen warriors positioned themselves around it in a circle, anyone that got too close had their heart ripped out. "It was a pleasure working with you," he said calmly. The all met his gaze and smiled. "It is a pleasure to die for you," Rickter smiled as a father should to his son. Proudly. A loud beeping sound started, bringing him back to reality. He vanished.
Half a mile from the city he watched it in the darkness. He was hovering a mile in the air, his eyes fixed on the lights that marked the Eiffel tower. He watched as a much larger light lit the city. Followed by a large cloud the shot upwards like a mushroom. On the ground it spread out at speeds that could hardly be tracked. A hundred yards in front of the cloud the buildings were being obliterated, behind the cloud nothing was left. Only scorched earth and bone. All that was left of the blast when it got to him was a slight breeze.
He grinned, looking on in silence. Paris, the city of love was now ruins. This would be a day he remembered for the rest of his life. He vanished once more, heading back to Rome at top speed.
