Upon opening the door, one might be surprised at the feel of the room. The way most describe it is 'unlived-in'. And it is true. Stark and clean, there is nothing about the general appearance that indicates the presence of a person. The bed is in the corner, sheets folded perfectly, comfortor devoid of any wrinkles or spots, despite the fact that it is white. Flat and perfectly rectangular, the single pillow creates a small lump at the head of the bed, positioned exactly in the center. In the closet hang shirts, all black, and a few belts with pockets and clips for weapons and other paraphenelia. A small, simple chest of drawers sits beside the bed. The top drawer holds pants, in either black or khaki, but no shorts at all. If one were to open the bottom drawer, nothing but a panel of blinking lights and a fingerprint scanner rests there, attached deep inside the wood. Only Iris know the codes, and if the incorrect ones are entered the entire system locks down for 24 hours. This opens Iris' extensive weapons stash, the location of which is only known to her. Such is the room of Iris; consider yourself lucky if you knock and she is there, for she normally is out on a mission, collecting evidence, or in the training room perfecting that which she has not.

Two Resistance officers came to the door of Iris's quarters and knocked, awaiting her answer. Brandon had requested to see her to interview her. They looked back and forth at each other as they waited.

The two men had struck it lucky. Iris happened to be in her room at the moment after a long training session. She heard the knock on the door and stiffened, looking up. Hand on her gun, she went over and unlocked the three bolts she had personally placed on her door. Iris liked her privacy; her safety too. No one could get in her room unless she let them in herself. Opening the door with a click, she slid it open noiselessly. Two officers stood there, looking a slight bit uneasy. Scanning them quickly with her dark eyes, she looked at them and asked, "What is it that you want?"

The officers looked at the woman and noticed how she had her pistol at the ready. " There is no need for any sort of caution when answering a door on base. Only military cleared soldiers can get down here. Never any vamps or lycans. " Said the man on the right. " Anyway, Captain Smith wants to see you in his office as soon as possible. " Said the man on the right. " Good day. " Was all the words they said before turning and walking away.

She absorbed their comments impassively and watched them leave. Caution had kept her alive thus far; she would continue with it even where fools felt it unnecessary. Vampires could certainly not get down here; they could not enter a building without permission. As for lycans, well there was one on base right now, but she didn't feel threatened by it. But the way Iris saw it, humans could be just as vicious as vampires and lycans, just as evil too, it was just that they did not have such unnatural means to carry out their thoughts. Stepping out of the door, Iris waited for the whir and click of the automatic lock, then she placed her hand on the wall about five inches from the doorframe. She had hidden a touchpad here; activating it, she knew that anyone that tried to get in her room would recieve a painful electric shock to their system. Without a backward glance, she set off to Smith's office.
