She stayed silent for a bit, watching the men below. The bird had flown into a tree, chattering irritably at the men that disturbed its search. As Cameron came in she stayed there, standing at the window, hands clasped behind her back. Slowly Arai shook her head. "No," she said quietly, "it didn't. I slept quite well." Her ribs were just a bit sore, already mostly healed from her ordeal, and the cut on her leg looked as if the stitches could come out in a few days. Her throat no longer hurt when talking, and her face was almost smooth again. Finally she turned, her light brown eyes soft and meditative. "I shall write a letter to Pete today," she declared, "did you get the video feed?"

Cameron reached into his back pocket and took out a video, handing it to Arai. " There it is, everything from the past twenty four hours, and then i put the video feed from everywhere we went, and made sure to document the times so there would be no holes in which he could believe we would have tortured you. If that doesn't convince him, then we will just have to show him, of course, we would have to find him first." Cameron said and then walked over and looked out the window for a moment, before he turned and looked at Arai, " Its going to be a beautiful day. I always enjoy a morning after a storm." He said, smiling.

Arai looked at him, a slight smirk lifting her lips. "I don't think you shall have any problems finding him," she assured, a strange light in her golden eyes. Looking out the window along with him, she said, "Yes, it almost makes it worth the storm itself." Going over to the drawer, she pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil. Sitting down, she quickly wrote out a note to Pete, her handwriting spacious and curved.
Pete -
This is Arai. Don't worry about me; I am just fine, no permanant damage. They have treated me well at this base. I get three meals a day, I have a room with a window, and their leader is nice. His name is Cameron; he is not hostile to werewolves as long as they are not hostile towards him. Here is what happened:
I was a city, I still don't know where, but a person jumped out of nowhere, shooting in the air, and took me as a hostage so the police wouldn't shoot him. His name is Brandon Smith, leader of the resistance. Once the police threat was gone, he told me that he was killing vampires, and he just didn't want the police to ask too many questions. He had gotten shot, so I fixed him up and then he started to go into shock. I called his men, and now I'm here. I am a captive of sorts, though I am now here willfully. I will be here until the next full moon. But please don't worry about me, and don't try to break me out of here. They are high security and they will shoot you. I will see you soon, hopefully. Maybe I can arrange a visit.
Arai
Folding it up into thirds, she handed it to Cameron. "Just put both this and the video in an envelope, then write 'PETE' really big across the front. Then go outside the base and then tell him to come and get it over a megaphone or something," she instructed, "He'll hear you."

Cameron took the letter and placed it in his back pocket after he examined it thoroughly. He then looked at Arai and shook his head, " No, we don't need to use the megaphone. We don't have any evidence to prove that he is anywhere near here, he doesn't know where this place is and our cameras would have found him. Cameron shook his head, " I will give this to a special ops team and they will bring it to him. They are good at tracking people down. Don't worry, " Cameron added, " He will be fine." He said and then walked outside and called for a guard, handing him the letter and telling him where to go with it. The two exchanged salutes and Cameron came back into the room. " Now, are you going to eat or not?" Cameron asked, smiling.

Arai rolled her eyes again. Military men; they always had to do it the 'cool' way, not the simple one. "Of course I'm going to eat," she replied, "if you had watched those videos you probably saw just how much I can eat. My friends would have been shocked to see that," she said with a small laugh, "being a small person, I didn't really eat a lot. But now I'm always hungry!" Picking up a fork, she was about to eat when she looked up and saw him still standing there, watching her. "Listen," she said, "I can't eat with people watching me, unless you are going to eat too."

Cameron smiled and shook his head, and then went over and sat on the bed and took out a granola bar from his pocket and showed it to Arai, " Happy?" He asked and then took off the wrapper and began to eat it. He at is slowly so that he would not get ahead of Arai. He could eat a granola bar in like, two seconds if he was in a hurry or in the field. " Yes, i did notice that you can consume a large amount of food quickly. Shall i get more?" He asked in a sarcastic manner.

When she saw he had food as well, if you could call a granola bar food, she looked at him skeptically, then at the granola bar, then back at him. "You can't honestly tell me that's your breakfast," she said, disapproval in her brown eyes. But she started to eat herself. By the time he asked if he should get more, she was already a third of the way through her meal. "No," she said, swallowing, "I think I'm good." This whole 'werewolf' thing had made her ravenously hungry. Her metabolism must be at least three times what it used to be. Hmm, that was another thing to test. She added it to her mental checklist.

Cameron looked at the granola bar and then back at Arai, who was scarfing down her food. He shook his head and then spoke calmly, " Well actually a granola bar is quite filling, besides i have run off of more than this on many occasions. I had a banana too if it makes you feel any better." he said and smirked and then watched as Arai continued to eat, faster than he predicted, " You know it is amazing you can keep such good body form when you eat like that. I guess being a werewolf has its perks." Cameron said and finished his granola bar.

Swallowing again, Arai said, "Listen, as an almost doctor, you must know that breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. One day you will regret your lifestyle." Almost finished now, she finally started to feel full. Slowing down a bit to enjoy the last part of her meal, she shrugged. "I guess so," she admitted, "I mean I've always had a really fast metabolism. Being a runner gave me that, and with my small size I still had to watch what I ate. Not anymore, though. In fact, this is the first time I've had more than two meals in a row in over half a year." Those had been hard times; she did not regret leaving them behind momentarily.

Cameron smiled and then laid back on the bed, rather boyishly. "Oh yes, i have heard that arguement many times," He said and sat back up, "Yea that came from my mother." He laughed and then stood up and took out a canteen from his belt and drank a few gulps of the liquid in side. "And as a doctor you may also know that once your body gets into a ruetine of something, it is a bad idea to alter suddenly." He said and then raised an eyebrow, " Do you agree?" He asked.

"I'm not saying you should go out tomorrow and suddenly eat a five-course breakfast!" she said, exasperated, "Obviously, you should work up to it. But even right now eating more than a banana and a granola bar would do you a lot more good than harm, especially with all the high-action stuff you do." Shaking her head, she finished up her breakfast. Boys. Once they got something in their mind, it was hard to change it. "So, can we go back to the library again today?" she asked, eager to get out of the room.

Cameron nodded his head in agreement with her suggestion to go back to the library. Personally, when it came to changing his diet, he wasn’t all that interested and frankly he didn’t want to be that interested. He had been so used to his diet and his way of life, it would hard to change, it didn’t matter what anyone else said. That was just the way it was. He stood up and walked over to the door, opening it for her and then beckoning for her to exit the door. “Of course you can go into the library. Honestly, you don’t have to wait for me to go around the base and to the library all you want. Granted you can’t go down into the base, but anywhere in the complex you are welcome to. No guards will bother you.” Cameron said calmly.

"Good," she exclaimed, amber eyes sparkling, "I was getting really bored of just sitting in this room." Jumping up, she noted that the cut in her leg was almost healed over, now just a thick red line crisscrossed with stitches. Which reminded her of something that had occured earlier. Arai remembered something, but like an object concealed behind a thick shroud, she could only remember the vagueness of it. "Where is the boy?" she asked curiously. She knew someone had come in, after the three men and before Cameron, and stitched her up. He had been younger, about her age. He had probably saved her life, and she wanted to thank him.

Cameron raised his eyebrow when she mentioned a boy. That was something Cameron couldn't give an answer to because he didn't know what she was talking about for a moment. He had to think about what she could have been talking about. She hadn't really come in contact with anyone that looked childish here on the base and at base she was at previously, just the three men and Brandon had made contact with her. Cameron had not watched the part about the man that had stitched her up. " What boy?" Cameron asked after concluding that he had no idea what she was talking about.

Crossing her arms, she shifted her weight to one leg and looked at him. "You seriously don't know what I was talking about, do you?" she stated frankly, her amber eyes staring him down. "You didn't watch the whole video, did you? What sort of military man are you?!?!" Good heavens, what sort of people were these. Sighing and running her hand across her forehead, she looked down, exasperated. "The boy. About my age. Stitched me up after they almost killed me," she explained, gesturing towards her healing cut, "I probably would have died if he hadn't come in. So where is he? If he's still at the other base, he doesn't deserve to be under such.....questionable....leadership." Arai was none too fond of Brandon; and with good reason. It would be an interesting day if they met again. Very interesting indeed.
