Christina set her stuff down after landing at the base and hoped Cameron was safe, and she was sure she was. The room was small and had a full-bed, a coffee table, her own bathroom and a walk-in closet. She sighed and sat on the bed as she thought to herself. She had no clothes with her so she hoped to get some later. She already missed home though.

Cameron came in with some clothes for Christina. He had bought them at a local store, well some marines had. Cameron wasn't leaving the base for a while. He knocked on the door and waited for Christina to answer it.

Christina heard the knock and opened the door, "Um do I know you sir?" Christina said jokingly and then she opened her door for him with a smile. When he entered, she shut the door and sat on the bed, "Do you think we'll win?" She asked him. She they would fight but the question was, was it possible for them to win? She sure hoped so, that was for sure. He knew she was worried, and why shouldn't she? Her hope was over run by vampires, she was in a strange place and all she had was her friendship with Cameron, of course she was scared, though she wouldn't admit it openly.

Cameron sighed and sat down on a chair across from her. " I don't know." He said and looked down, " You know for the first in, well for the first time i feel that i don't know how to approach this. I mean, if you think about it, i have used guns effectively and hand to hand combat effectively for all my life. Now i am fighting something that can withstand that. How can i fight something like that?" Cameron asked, looking at Christina

Christina looked down and sighed, "I don't know Cameron. I've never believed in vampires before," she said to him and sighed looked down in her lap and thaen at Cameron, "Honestly, I never thought I'd tell anyone this but I am scared as hell. My home is over run by vampires, and the only person I have left to trust it seems is you," she said and looked up at him.

“You would be surprised how many people have said that to me.” Cameron said calmly. He had been told that by many of those he was to protect. A lot of times though he was often a double agent and he had either had to kill the person or something else had happened to them. He had only lost two, but those two still haunted him to this day. Cameron looked at Christina and tried to give her a reassuring smile, “It will be alright, everything will be fine. This is just another turn in the world, something we haven’t seen yet, but were tanks, chemical weapons and rain at one point. We will weather things as we have always done.” Cameron said.

"But we are fighting vampires, they ly, have more strength, are quicker, how long can we possibly stand up to a killing machin?" She asked him, huging her pillow close, "And the lycans...are they joining the vampires?" She asked him warily, her mind constantly spining in her mind.

Cameron smiled and stood up and went over to the other side of the bed and pulled down the sheets for her, " You should get some rest." He said calmly, "And rest assured, you have at least fifty killing machines in this base with you right now.Lets see them stand up to that. I don't know about the Lycans," Cameron said and beckoned for Christina to get some sleep.

She shook her head, "There's no way I'm going to sleep," she told him, "Though I am hungry, is there some place I could get some food?" She asked him curiously.

Cameron sighed and looked at Christina, " Yes there is, but you need rest as soon as you are done eating, do you understand?" Cameron said authoritatively. He then pulled the covers back up and folded and made the bed and then went to the door and opened it for her, "follow me." He said.

She followed him and sighed, "I am not a child Cameron," she told him as they walked past many people, through many doors and down many halls. "By the way, what's with the Brandon guy? He isn't very welcoming I noticed," she pointed out to Cameron.

Cameron sighed and looked at the ground for a moment, before he turned his head and looked at her to answer her question, " He is a military man, one of the best. As such he likes facts like i do and he doesn't show trust to very many people, but that is understandable when you think about the consequences of mistrust. It is the way he is. I am not saying it is flawed, and i am not saying it is correct, but it has kept him alive and we are going to need him alive." Cameron said calmly and walked into the dining hall and grabbed a tray for Christina and one for himself.

She thanked him for the tray and grabbed some food sitting at a table. "Doesn't he ever get lonely? With holding up a wall agains everyone?" She asked him, wondering if perhaps maybe the man had more of a history than she knew, "Did he ever lose anyone? Like family?" She ased him curiously.

Cameron shrugged, " I have no idea." He said calmly, " I have only known for two years and in those years the past couple of weeks for real." Cameron admitted. " This is my facility and he was in Hawaii when all this went down." Cameron said and got some mashed potatoes and some turkey. " But personally, don't let him get to you. He is just doing what he thinks is best and how he thinks he can best help the people, you, me and everyone else." Cameron said calmly.

As the two were eating a soldier came up and turned to Christina. " Captain Brandon wishes to see you in his office in an hour. " He said calmly. " He did not say why and I did not ask. I recommend you do the same, and he also asked that you be alone. " He soldier saluted Cameron and then left.
