Dante had gathered quite a crowd, some were there just to yell insults, but most were there for the reason he wanted them there. Dante stood at the bottom of the main statue in Trafalgar Square and looked out at the people, a few thousand people stood there, amongst them were a few news reporters, who had been told by suporters of Dante that something would happen. Word had spread, but as it was just a rumour, no official action had been taken, which is how Dante managed to get so many people here without police arriving to intervene. Dante spotted a few handheld cameras in the crowd nearby, doubtless there were more around that he had not seen. This was good, they could be sold to the media and his speech would be publicised even more. The noise of the people died down and Dante smiled, it was time to begin. "People of London, people of Britain. I stand here today as a concerned citizen, to the Christians among you, I apologise for the wrongs that have been done to you. To the Atheists, to the Agnostics and to those of every other religion I stand here to show you something, to reveal a wrong that has been going on, hidden from your eyes. Firstly, to those Christians; I apologise because of this: Your preachers are liars and hypocrites, they teach you of abstinance, when it is Man's natural instinct to indulge. They teach you that anger is wrong, when anger is just man's natural instinct; it drives you to fight and keep yourself, your family and your friends alive. These hypocrites are in the front lines in war, helping the fighting, whilst their brothers and collegues are at the head of peace protests!" Dante stopped, looking around for the short time he was paused. Many people showed interest in what he said, some showed support but some looked angry. They would need some more persuading, it seemed. "Those of you who do not agree with me, think for a short while; the government is supposed to protect you, but look at the situation of the country: Crime is constant, murder and robbery statistics are much higher than they have ever been before! The prisons are overcrowded, so even major crime gets punished only by a small fine, or a period of community service when these dangerous people should be locked up, kept away from society for the safety of you, your friends and your family. Because of where the government fails, you will be the ones that get hurt! The government doesn't care, they just want their anual salary to be as high as they can make it! Maybe you are wondering why I brought the Christian Church into this at the start... It is because the government is run by the Christian Church! It is Christians who vote in the government, which to many of you doesn't matter as you are voting Christians yourselves. However, this could not be further from the truth! You are being tricked by the Church, and because of it, the whole of England has fallen into turmoil! If my words do not sway you enough, look around you! People live miserable lives, they live in fear of crime, and not just being robbed. Murder statistics are rising faster than birth rates, soon more people will be murdered every year than babies born. And what are the government doing to help? What is the Church doing to help? These are the people who are supposed to protect you and they are failing!" Dante looked around again. This time his voice had struck gold, nearly everybody had responded to the extremes. Most people had responded better than he had expected. Anger at the Government was seething from almost all of them, anger at the Church was burning in many eyes but there were a few, the few who had been completely seduced by the Government - the idiotic and the rich who wanted to keep their lives the way they were. Nevermind, they would recieve their punishment later. Dante prepared to speak again.
"I will give you time to think on what I have said but if you agree with what I say you will join me in exactly two weeks time, outside the Houses of Parliament to enjoy the greatest display in history." Dante left it at that, a display of what would become known only on the day it occured, a display of protest but it would be a great display. The greatest ever known to mankind.
