Rickter strode into the council hall with a determined air to his pace. Tonight his clan would be planning something that a human would never be able to pull off.
Taking up his seat at the head of the table he glanced at Julie, she still didn't look well. He laid his hand on hers as their chairs were next to each other. His gaze lingered upon her for a few more seconds before he turned it away to face the gathered Elders of the Lemure clan. There six of them. Not many, but the only ones aside from Julie that he could trust with his life.
"You all know why we are here," his voice had no icy edge to it now, he spoke with a deep orator-like voice. "I have briefed you all on what we must do, but now, I want to work out how to do it.
"We have many weapons available to us, three nuclear bombs, more if the first wave of attacks goes well, plus everything else we looted from the two army bases in Rome," he let his gaze wander from face to face as he spoke.
"Has anyone else got anything to add before we start organixing who goes where? Julie?"

Julie entered the council hall of her and Rickter's clan, at her side was Rickter together with six of the other Elders of the Lemure clan. They all have been summoned to discuss how exactly to work out on how to realize their plan. She sat down at Rickter's side, and she noticed how he watched her concerned. And she knew why, she supposed her pale skin, even more pale than normally, made him feel worried, as well that she was not as talkative as she used to be, rather deep in thoughts. She already had decided, after this meeting she would tell him about what was wrong, even although it would be the most difficult talk she could imagine. She sighed, and with a short side glance at Rickter, she turned back to the other six members of this council. She waited for how Rickter started this discussion, and when he turned the word to her. She looked at each vampire in the round, before she spoke "Well, we have good weapons as well as the very important weapon of surprise. But still, how do you think the enemy will react to our attack, what weapons will or could they use against us, once they detected our assault?" she threw this question into the discussion.

"My lady," one of the elders bowed his head, "I would like to point out that human bullets cannot harm us. Unless they can fire in rapid enough succession to remove our head," he smiled evilly.
"Well put Lienhart," Rickter spoke softly, "but no, the humans do have powerful weapons, the American's have developed UV bullets and grenades. We do not know if they have shared the technology with other humans. But we must presume they have." Rickter gaze flickered from face to face at the table.
"I think that what we'll need to do first is attack the strongest base of each country in southern Europe, one of is assigned to each one. Then we should attack the smaller ones in an order of importance, how we do it though, and who strikes where is the problem, I have a few ideas. Do any of you?"

Julie listened to what was said, and nodded slightly. Indeed, the humans have developed weapons in the last few years that could harm creatures like vampires, kill them. They had to be carefull while carrying out this attack. When Rickter asked about any ideas how to plan the strike in detail, hwo to split their numbers of vampires to attack the main bases of human military, she thought for a while. No one had answered yet, so she took up the speech at last. "Well, of course we have to strike at all military bases at the same time, otherwise they would inform each other and so be prepared, and we would lose this battle. how many bases do we have to attack at once then, and how strong are they, do we know that?" she asked.

Rickter thought for a few moments before replying, his brow furrowed in concentration.
"I'd say we have at least one hundred bases to attack all together, but maybe we can do it one country at a time. That would surely be easier. They won't start working together for a long time. In fact, I believe because of my stunt with the nuke on Paris a large war has broken out in Europe," he stopped speaking suddenly before continuing.
"That means the bases will be harder to attack. Even so, I'd say ten vampires is all we'll need to take out the weaker, smaller bases. Less than a hundred for the strongest. It will be nice and easy, every bomb we can salvage from the bases we will. We shall use their own weapons against them.
"If we go country by country it will take a matter of a week. If we hit them all at once it will take a day. But we may not succeed."

"Well, then the only question that remains, is, if we take the risk of not succeeding, but attacking all bases in one day, or taking longer time, although then we must be prepared that the humans have had time to get ready for our attacks." Julie answered Rickter, she held the opinion that they probably would have a better chance when attacking surprisingly, everywhere at the same time. But whatever this council with all its members would decide, she would maintain their opinion. "I believe our attack would have a greater effect if we would assail the bases at the same time, and would take minor losses. What do you say?" she asked in the round.

Rickter watched as in turn all other members at the council voted for attacking all at once, "then I have no choice," he smiled. It was logically the best action anyway. "now, who goes where? I would like to lead the attacks in Italy, but some of you know this place better than I, so it might be a good idea for me to go somewhere else.
"What do you all think?"

"Which countries do we have to attack in first place, which ones will be taken over by other vampire clans?" Julie asked, wondering how they would split up, which country she would have to atatck. "Italy, Greece, Austria... and other countries? France and Spain?" she offered. If so, she wished to go to Austria, as it was her home country in the first place, and she knew it very well.

"We shall be taking all of southern Europe," Rickter began, "you may take Austria as you wish, that mainly leaves just Greece and Italy, the latter being ours in everything but name already."
He surveyed the other members of the council. "Of course we shall strike the other lands of Southern Europe, but these three are the only ones that are threats. The others are involved in a large war of their own."

Julie nodded, it was just as she thought. In some way she was glad to take Austria, she knew this country the best as well as the people, their weaknesses and strengths. "Thank you, Rickter. I believe those who know one of these countries best should lead the attack there. And as in our clan there are many originally coming from Italy I believe they should prepare to attack the main bases of the Italian army. Although I believe of all in this round you know Greece best, Rickter, maybe you should go there?" Julie suggested.
