Ghosts
The term of Ghosts is used for apparitions of dead people. Apparently, the body and soul of these persons were separated by the death, and the souls remained on the earth, for there is one reason or more that they can not depart into the world of the dead yet.
Ghosts may appear in many forms and shapes, mostly they appear in the former shape of the person, but they are only shadows of their body. They appear as mist, formed into the shape of their former body.
Ghosts have the ability to fly, to move their shapes from only a few feet to even several meters above the ground. Often they appear to be floating, and are covered in mist and fog so that they would not be easy to recognize. Mostly, the ghosts try everything to only be seen by those persons they want to, but any other humans and creatures can see them as well, if wanted or not. Ghosts can talk, see, hear and smell just like humans, they have the same senses save the taste. As ghosts are only shadows clad into mist, they do not need food or drink, although some ghosts desire those. As well, ghosts can not touch any items until they are not old enough to gain this power, but as well, they can not be harmed with normal items, only with items on which special magic is laid upon.
In growing age of ghosts, they also get stronger and receive special powers at certain ages:
Here are the Ranks for the Ghosts:
Age 1000 - Taking over a body or make dreams.
Age 700 - Disappearing and Reappearing on different places in their ghost shape.
Age 500 - Gaining the Power to touch and move any item to their wish.
Age 200 - Transforming into light orbs, small balls of light that contain the soul of a ghost. In those light balls, ghosts can travel from place to place quickly.
Demons
A demon, coming from the ancient Greek word daimon for a spirit, almost an inner voice that tells you about ethics, is today defined as 'Fallen Angel' of God. It is an evil spirit with supernatural powers, mostly over the elements, that was banned by God himself.
In Antiquity, the term "demons" was not always understood to have the absolutely negative connotation that it does today. Homer used the terms "demons" and "gods" more or less as the same. Another opinion was that demons were intermediaries between men and gods, and that demons had once been men. Plutarch speaks of "human souls as commencing, first heroes, then demons, and afterward as advancing to a more sublime degree."
Our current use of the term "demon" is to denote an evil spirit, and comes to us primarily from New Testament writers. However, there is still uncertainty as to whether or not demons are considered to be distinct and separate from the Devil and his fallen angels.
Some historians of times past believed that there were cycles during which demonic activity increased, and used this theory to explain various occurrences, much in the same way as today's economic historians might explain historical events in terms of trade, productivity and other factors. These older historians saw a rise in demonic activity accompanying such occurrences as the destruction of Jerusalem, the fall of Rome and the French Revolution, and would in all likelihood also have viewed the demonic theory at work in relation to the rise of Nazism and World War II.
There are different kinds of demons:
Species of Demons, as Described by Alphonse de Spina (1467)
* Fates, who alter destiny
* Poltergeists, who cause mischief
* Incubi and Succubi, who stimulate lust and perversion
* Marching Hordes, who bring about war
* Familiars, who assist witches
* Nightmares, who disturb sleep through bad dreams
* Demons formed from Human Semen
* Disguised Demons
* Demons who Assail the Saintly
* Demons who Instigate Witchcraft
And as there are many different demons, each of them has special powers, mostly bound to one of the 5 elements: water, fire, air, earth and metal. Their powers get strengthened with their age, but they do not get any new powers. Each demon, when joining this forum, can choose their powers, but the chosen powers have to be approved by a member of the staff so that they are reasonable.
Angels
For whatever reason, it's fair to say that the idea of human beings being able to fly is something that has fascinated people since unknown times. Consequently, images of human beings with wings can be found across the world in every major culture.
Our word 'angel' comes from the Greek angelos, which itself could be considered as a translation of the Hebrew word mal'akh, meaning 'messenger', etymology suggesting a being responsible for carrying messages between the human world and some other realm or realms of existence, someone who is an intermediary between 'down here' and 'up there'.
Angels, it is said, are sent by god as messengers. But they have another task to fulfill as well: To help and protect people. Those Angels that live on Earth are hard to recognize out of the crowd of people, as they look the same as humans. Their angelic form they only show to those they want to.
There are different types of angels, in heaven and on earth:
SERAPHIM
They were considered the highest order of the Hierarchy of Angels. They are the Angels of Love, Light, and Fire. Seraphim are the closest to God. In the Throne Room, several of the Seraphim were described as flying directly above the Throne of God and constantly sing His praise. They are also called "the Burning Ones" because they are aflame with Love. It is said that the light they give off is so intense, that not even other divine beings may look upon them. There is said to be four of these angelic beings. They are listed as the four holy beasts in the book of Revelation and are also described as angels with six wings; two covering the face, two covering the feet, and two were used for flying." They are associated with the color of white.
CHERUBIM
The second highest Order of Angels. Their name stands for "Wisdom" or "one who prays." In the Throne Room they were said to stand next to the Throne of God. They are also depicted on the Ark of the Covenant as its Guardians. Cherubs are the first Angels mentioned in the Bible when two Cherubs are placed by God to guard the gates to Eden with Flaming Swords. "He drove out the man; and at the east of the Garden of Eden he placed the Cherubim, and a Flaming Sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the Tree of Life." Genesis 3:24. The Cherubim were also known as the record keepers of Heaven. They were not described as the cute little "cupid like" angels depicted by painters, but instead as having four wings.
THRONES
The third ranking Order of Angels. They were also known as "Wheels" and "the Many-eyed Ones". They were considered Angels of Justice as they were said to carry out God's decisions. These Angels were often believed to be deployed like charioteers around the Throne of God. They were described as having four wings and four faces. They sparkled like the color of burnished brass. They had the hands of a man under their wings. Their wings were joined one to the other and they did not turn when they traveled - they all went straight forward. They had four faces. They had the face of a man as well as three other faces on their helmets - that of a lion, an ox, and an eagle. They moved on wheels in the middle of wheels, blue-green in color. Above their heads "the likeness of the firmament," which was the color of crystal, and under this were their wings, two on each side of their bodies. The noise of their wings was "like the noise of great waters."
DOMINATIONS
The fourth ranking Order of Angels. According to Jewish traditions, the success or failure of nations was decided by this Order of Guardian Angels. Dionysius claims that this realm "regulates the Angels." Dominations have been described as wearing long albs, or gowns reaching to their feet, hitched with a golden belt and adorned with a green sole. They carry golden staffs in the right hand and the Seal of God in the left. At other times, they are said to hold an orb or a specter.
VIRTUES
The fifth ranking Order of Angels. They have been called "The Brilliant or Shining Ones." They were called the Angels of miracles, encouragement, and blessings, and were particularly involved with people struggling with their faith. Virtues have been said to be the chief bestows of grace and valor. The two Angels at the Ascension of Jesus were traditionally believed to be from the Order of Virtues. Virtues were usually represented in a group.
POWERS
The sixth ranking Order of Angels. Powers have been credited as being the first Order of Angels created by God. responsible for maintaining the border between Heaven and Earth. Acting as a sort of elite guard, they constantly watch for demonic attack, and are the major line of defense and battle during heavenly warfare. It is their duty to protect the world from the infiltration of demons. They protect our souls from these evil beings and act as ministers of God who avenge evil in the world. It was also believed that at death, the Powers guided our transition to Heaven.
PRINCIPALITIES
The seventh ranking Order of Angels. The Principalities were described as the Angels who protect religions. They were also considered to be the guardians over the nations and the leaders of the world. As such, they are assumed to be given more freedom to act than the lesser angels below them and are responsible for carrying out divine acts concerning their area of jurisdiction. It was from this Order that the Angel who aided David in his task of slaying Goliath was thought to have come. Finally, they are given to the task of managing the duties of the angels. Principalities have been described as being dressed in soldier's uniforms with golden girdles.
ARCHANGELS
The eighth ranking Order of Angels. These were considered to be the Angels in command of ministering to humans. They are also the most widely known Order of Angels, since the only Angels mentioned by name in the Bible (Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael) come from this Order. They carry God's messages to humans and are ultimately in command of God's Armies of Angels who are constantly in spiritual warfare with the forces of evil and the fallen angels. The number of Archangels usually considered to be associated with our system of worlds is seven, as in the Seven Angels who stand before God in Revelation 8:2, which is often interpreted to mean the Seven Archangels. The Seven Archangels are Michael, Jophiel, Chamuel, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Zadkiel.
ANGELS
The ninth ranking Order of Angels. Angels are the Order closest to humanity. The word angel derives from the Greek "Angelos" meaning "messenger." . First, they are responsible for watching over the affairs of mortals in a more direct manner than the principalities. Instead of watching entire nations, angels watch over households and individual souls, guiding them subtlety and keeping them safe from demonic attack. Also, they are the carriers of God's word to mankind, acting as messengers and couriers to both God and the upper ranks of angel kind as well.
The Rank of Powers within the Angel Hierarchy:
Age 1000 - Healing themselves and others fully
Age 700 - Sending light balls, filled with energy, against enemies
Age 500 - Disappearing and Reappearing on different places
Age 200 - Flying
Monsters
The word "Monster" comes from the ancient Latin monstrum, meaning "omen", from the root of monere, "to warn". It is meant to be a person or rather creature, who is exceptionally evil, grotesque, unreasonably strict and uncaring, psychotic and/or sadistic, and not looking human anymore.
Ancient peoples often considered "freaks" to be demonstrations of the wrath of the gods. The first so-called monstra were showpieces in traveling carnival freak shows, and were often poor souls afflicted with disfiguring conditions like elephantiasis.
Most monsters are made up by humans, ideas and fears by humans that have come to life in form of terrible monsters. All monsters are evil, for that is why they are called monsters. Maybe you can find kinds of monsters that aren't, but those mostly are found in films or books for children. But in reality they exist to scare you. They are also solitary, doing their thing on their own, won't let anyone else command them around.
Monsters do not have rankings, as each monster is different to another. If you want to join with a character of a monster, fill out the history formula and come up with an idea for the powers your monster should have. One member of the staff then will check out the history and will inform you if your monster is accepted with those powers, or will help you to come up with other ideas for powers if needed.
Zombies
A zombie is an undead person in the Afro-Caribbean and Creole spiritual belief system of Vodou. These folkloric zombies are humans who have had their "Ti Bon Ange" or soul stolen by supernatural means and shamanic medicine, and are forced to work for their "zombie master" as uncomplaining slaves on isolated plantations. Other more macabre versions of zombies have become a staple of modern horror fiction, where they usually engage in human cannibalism.
Haitian zombies were once normal people, but underwent zombification by a "bokor" or voodoo sorcerer, through spell or potion. The victim then dies and becomes a mindless automaton, incapable of remembering the past, unable to recognise loved ones and doomed to a life of miserable toil under the will of the zombie master.
Facts about Zombies:
* Zombies never sleep, and they are incapable of fatigue.
* Zombies are impervious to pain and require no air to breathe.
* They are thus immune to drugs, poisons, gases, extremes of temperature and pressure, high voltage electricity, suffocation, and drowning.
* While not invulnerable to physical injury, zombies can suffer great damage to their bodies (including dismemberment) without being adversely affected. Dismembering the legs will render the zombie immobile, but the creature will still continue to subsist. Likewise, decapitation will incapacitate the body, but the head will still "live".
* Zombies don’t possess any superhuman strength, nor do they have a night vision, a characteristic usually common to undead monsters.
Zombies, once brought back to life, can spread on through biting. They bite humans and so turn them to zombies as well with infecting them.
When you join as zombie, your character first will be rather numb, slow in body and mind. Most zombies have difficulty with simple mechanical objects and obstacles such as doorknobs, latches, stairs, and fences in the beginning. But with growing age, not only their strength grows, but they also got clear in mind and their movements become quicker.
The Ranking System of Zombies:
Age 1000 - Smarter
Age 700 - Hard Bite
Age 500 - More Speed
Age 200 - Learning
Hybrids
There can be found many kinds of hybrids, a mix of the races, as for example an Angel-Demon Hybrid, or a Human-Monster Hybrid. Many of those hybrids do not yet exist, the only kind that does exist at present are the Werewolf-Vampire Hybrids.
Thomas was then first of the race of hybrids of the kind of Werewolf-Vampire hybrids. He was born and grew up in Germany, moved to France where he worked for a company called Wolfram & Hart as lawyer. One night, he was bitten by a wolf, and so turned into a werewolf. Thomas' girlfriend Lisa, who also worked in this company, stole medicines for him to kill the werewolf and bring back the human, but the Lord Darkus, leader of the company, found out. He threatened to kill her, and so it came to a fight between him and Thomas, that ended with Darkus dead.
Lisa placed the medicine into Thomas' blood, and so he transformed to human again. But none of them dared to return to the company, not until the new leader Isabelle showed up and asked them to come back, they did not get punished.
A few days later, a vampire, Juliette, seduced Thomas and bit him. After a confrontation between Juliette and Lisa, Lisa died while Thomas transformed into a vampire. Thomas and Juliette blew up the whole house of the company before they fled to Japan to found a vampire base there. But the truth was, Thomas was no true vampire, but a hybrid, a Werewolf-Vampire. The medicine, Lisa has given him, has not cured him fully, and so he was half Werewolf, half Vampire.
