Cameron stood back up and walked over to the wall to Sara’s left and listened to her as she talked about how she wanted to be caught and how the Bible wasn’t going to protect him from Victor. He sort of nodded his head, sarcastically agreeing with her with his facial expressions. Then, once she was finished he began to speak, “Well I have seen you fight and even if you chosen to, you had dug yourself into a pretty deep hole where you were. That, and we are all equipped with these now.” Cameron said and pulled out his gun and cocked it, keeping the frame back as a bullet popped out. He closed it, cocked it again and holstered it. He then put the bullet on the table and looked at Sara. “These are wooden bullets. We tried engineering a weapon that would fire just stakes, but we could only get three in a weapon and we needed something with more rounds. So, we made the stakes smaller.” Cameron said and pointed at the bullet, “Those suckers right there are in every gun we have, matched with the same number of silver bullets. Really shouldn’t have given me this much time to get organized dear. And trust me, those bullets, have the same effectiveness as a stake.” Cameron said and leaned down and picked up the Bible and held it in his hand, “This is more than enough. The Bible itself can’t save me, but the scriptures inside can and so can the one that these scriptures spoke against. I wouldn’t settle this short just yet.” Cameron said calmly.

Sara yawned, “You seriously think wood..” she looked at the bullet he placed before her, “…wood pellets are going to have an affect on the King of all Vampires? I don’t think so. As to me fighting, that was the only way I could keep Victor’s sister off my back. She knew Victor held me there against my will, and she wanted me dead. Besides, Victor knew I had training in various types of fighting skills, and he used that against me.”
She moved her eyes from the bible and the bullet, “You may injure vampires with those things, but you need something more devastating. Perhaps a wooden bullet that explodes once it is planted within the skin and whence it explodes, out burst Holy water. That might get you somewhere, other then these pathetic things. Now why would I tell you that?” she gave him a ironic look, “Oh,” a mischievous grin crossed her face, and with a more vicious tone, “Because I want you to help me. I never wanted to be this, I never wanted to be Queen of these bloodsucking creatures. They killed my father! Who in their right mind would then side with those whom had killed their loved ones?”
She glowered at him now. She had to make this look real. Characterisation was always good, and she had learnt that in drama. She just had to keep pushing to an innocent level, make it appear as though she was really telling the truth. It would buy her time. Victor would not come after her for sometime, so she really had to buy herself sometime. She looked at the silver ring upon her finger for a moment, before she looked back at Cameron, but not a word escaped from her parted lips.

Cameron looked at the wooden bullet and then at Sara as she spoke about how the bullet wouldn’t really have any affect on Victor. Cameron raised an eyebrow when she actually suggested a few things that would kill her kind. That was a bit unusual. Cameron still kept a straight face and waited for her to conclude her argument before he replied, “Well we are working on a UV bullet but we are having a little problem with containing the energy. We will have that ready soon enough I imagine. If we have it ready in time for Victor, I don’t know. Maybe we will, maybe we won’t. It just comes down to how long it takes him to figure out where you are, if he doesn’t already know.” Cameron said calmly and then walked over and took the wooden bullet off the table and then put it in his pocket as he walked over to his chair and sat back down. “So, what else can you tell me, or did you already expend all of your knowledge.” Cameron asked.

Sara listened to Cameron, she sensed a little surprise erupt from his body, but that was all. She watched him very carefully, any moment could turn him against her, and she did not want a wooden bullet lodged within her body. Not yet, anyway.
She listened to him brag about a new bullet, yet showed no sign of enjoyment or happiness that something was being invented to stop her kind. In fact she really never took a liking to things that stole lives. Even though she had stolen lives, she still felt their lives live within her. After all she had no choice but to follow the vampire life.
Sara shrugged when Cameron spoke about whether Victor knew where she was. She watched him take the wooden bullet from the table and place it in his pocket before sitting down and asking whether she had anything else to tell him.
She shrugged again, “If Victor knows I am here, I do not know. But, what do you wish to know? We shall see if I have expended all of my knowledge just yet,” she sighed. This was a slow process, but the more she opened up, the more likely he was to trust her and the more likely she would be able to turn that around and use it against him.

Cameron, off the top of his head had already asked all of the truly important questions. So, thinking of a few new ones would take a moment or two to accomplish. Cameron casually walked around the room once and then sat back down on the table in front of Sara. At this point, he showed no fear in his eyes. His hands were steady, his gaze fixed. He was not a scared man. She could escape the chains, but he was certain that she would defeat him in combat thanks to the abilities that he had been given. Cameron calmly spoke and in no longer a real threatening voice, “So, what does Victor know of the Resistance? Does he know of our fortifications, our technology? Obviously he knows our location.” He said and kept his gaze on Sara, “I want to know what Victor knows and I want to know how to stop him when he comes looking for you. I don’t to fight here, it will cause the loss of too many lives.” Cameron said calmly. .

Sara watched Cameron take a turn about the room, her eyes travelling with him until they could travel no further, then lingered over towards the other side, as he came to sit down. She saw no fear in this man, his heart beat was steady. He was not scared, however, it did not tempt Sara to try and place it back in him again. Fear was just as bad as torture half the time.
She wiggled her fingers, letting them stretch in place, “Victor does not know all of the technology you have. He knows of numbers and any source of transport… like planes and helicopters. He does not know of what your weapons are, and only judges them on supposition. To defeat him,” Sara sighed, “It would not be easy.”
She took in another breath and appeared to be thinking, “Victor is not just one man. He exists from all other lives he has taken. Their weakness and strengths linger within him. You need to be able to disarm his strengths, and use his weaknesses against him. He is powerful, I give him that. However, I am unsure of any possible way to stop him. You would need numbers, more then an army the earth has seen to hold him back, and you’d have to take him by surprise when he is alone. Metal bullets will do you no good, nor will holy water or stakes. However, pure sunlight will weaken him, like any vampires. If you could hold against him, until sunrise, then you would weaken him enough. Fire is also another thing vampires fear.”
Sara swallowed carefully, “I heard him speaking with another vampire Lord, another attack is in plan. The details I could not get, however there is one coming, and our numbers are rising just as a rabbits in a flourishing land. Trust me, when I say you need numbers, and you need to plan quickly. Vampires will not settle for just respect and power, they will only stop when the world is crawling to their feet and begging mercy even then they will not. Complete and utter control is their aim.”

Cameron listened to what Sara was saying about sunlight and about how Victor gained the powers of the humans he had killed our turned. They were still human, so he just was stronger, maybe faster. Cameron had encountered Victor before now. He had met him once at the White House. That had not been a pleasant experience for him. Falling out of a helicopter hovering in mid air was not something that Cameron had really planned on. Well, he was going to get technical about it; none of this was anything that he had really planned on. In any case, Cameron listened to try and figure out any advantage that he finds against Victor. Oh, sunlight, well he pretty much knew that already. Cameron wondered if she even knew about the aircraft carrier that he had. Hell, he had almost gotten his hands on a battleship cruiser. “Don’t you worry about Victor; I will take care of him. How do I stop the rest of his army?” Cameron asked as he sat down in the chair adjacent to Sara. “Then cannot all be as durable as he is.”

Sara nodded, when he told her not to worry about Victor, “His army is controlled by him alone. There are lords, but his army is the largest. They are all vulnerable to metal, holy water, fire however sunlight will kill them instantly,” Sara looked at the ground, trying to think of other ways without giving away too much information, “To control the army, you have to weaken their source of energy. Victor. However, like humans they will just elect another, and that is possibly Trista.”
Sara let small tears well in her eyes. She was still capable of human emotions, she still felt everything, every emotion offered to mortals, “I…I don’t know what else you can do. You just have to stop him. If he becomes to powerful, nothing will stop him and that is what I fear. He is powerful enough to read my thoughts and enter my mind, so I would suggest containing my under scrupulous security. He will come for me, because I know his army is.. It is growing and they are getting ready to strike.”
Sara, bit her lip, “If Victor brings his army here, you have to be ready with every weapon you can possibly contain, every man you can steal. He will not stop until he has killed, every man, woman and child. He has no mercy and torture is one of his strengths.”

Cameron watched as she began to cry. That was something that he had never seen from a vampire before. However, he would not be fooled by it. He knew that vampires were keen and cunning. He knew very well what sat before him and his gut told him that he needed to kill her. He certainly didn’t need her running around the base while the attack was commencing. Yet, he said nothing; no facial expression relayed to her what he was thinking. Cameron, after a time spoke, but he was in no hurry, not rush, so he spoke calm and collectedly
“So you are telling me that in order for me to defeat Victor’s army, I have to defeat him in mortal combat. Fine, Trista, well I doubt she will take control of anything because we have not heard anything from her in quite some time. You have been more active than her. Then there is Ricktor, we are under the impression he holds Italy and Southern Europe. Most comforting indeed. Those are the kingpins as of now, unless I have missed some.” Cameron asked in a sort of inquisitive tone. He wondered if she would tell him if he had skipped over any possible vampire threats.
“Now, the regular vampires, we can hold. The masters will be difficult but nothing can stand up to grenades or missiles. That simply is not possible, not matter the beast. You said they are in danger from fire. I can use that. What kind of metal exactly? I was aware that silver only hurt werewolves. Holy water, well where I could enough of that, I am not sure. Sunlight, well if he stop them it will be before sunlight so, that is out of effect. However, I could probably put some rather powerful lights around the perimeter, holding the some of the same UV rays. That might be interesting.” Cameron said, half talking to himself now.

Sara moistened her lips, her eyes still holding the glassy touch of tears. She pulled these tears out from her past wounds as they still affected her. It may seem as though she was making it all up, but some aspects of her story were quite true. It was hard to speak about the past, and it was hard to make other understand that her past life had not been the easiest. Becoming a vampire had seemed like the easiest way out. But did that make her a coward for taking the fools way out?
She had lost her family. Her father in a car accident cause by a hungry beast or vampire. She didn’t know, but it was one of them. Her mother had turned into someone else, and brought home a drunken lunatic whom abused Sara constantly. Victor, was truly the only source of comfort, and understanding she had left in this world. For Sara, his arms were her sanctuary, she’d never feel safe without them.
She watched Cameron make what seemed a mental note, of reciting her words, in his own, out loud to himself. He seemed pretty enthused by the thought of using UV rays to extinguish young and newer vampires, actually it did seem like an interesting concoction. But Sara would not say anything. She sat quietly, looking around the sightless room.
Her eyes retained their normal colour, as she took them back to Cameron, “What do you think about bombs?” she said randomly, “Are you able to disarm them? I mean, if these bombs were not defused or stopped they’d be able to wipe out an entire population, most of New York, if the time come would you know how to defuse them?”

Cameron smirked and looked at Sara. The mention of bombs was exciting to him. Cameron was a bomber. He loved to drop bombs on things and he knew how to take on apart, rebuilt it, set in a new model and frame. Oh yea, Cameron could do what he needed to with a bomb. “Defuse bombs, I can do that. It is not a difficult task, not when you have an idea of what you are doing. Cameron looked at Sara for a moment, wondering why she had brought up the topic of bombs. Did the vampires have a bomb? Were they planning to use it? How would they deploy it? Getting a bomb into this base would be difficult, very difficult and there was no way a plane would be able to get here because of radar and the air force that Cameron had. Where then would they drop a bomb. Cameron heard her say something about New York. He took a deep breath and shook his head. He ran his hand through his hair and looked at Sara, “Well, New York is out of the question because that has already been completely destroyed. It was bombed by this organization once the population climaxed the vampires had overrun the city. But...That was in another life.” Cameron said in reference to Tirith. Cameron that moved his hand to the back of his head and scratched a bit. “Manhattan is gone too.” He said after a moment.

Sara nodded, “Well you are not the only one who knows that. I warn you now, the weapons existing at this current moment are more dangerous to mortals than they ever have been,” she had mentioned the use of bombs, but had never really stated that they would use them. However, it would give them a tip off and a possible reason to believe her. Which she doubted severely.
She sat back with a deep breath, wondering what to do next. Her character forbid her to go on, and her own conscious was struggling to break free of the cuffs placed about her hands. Both sides were quite distracting, however, she pushed away her character and her own self and spoke, “Yes I know it is over run with my kind. It is quite devastating, so many lives lost,” she looked at her hands, “Because of me and my kind alike. I hate myself for being like this, but I never had a choice. I lost my way,” she bit back her words and took a deep breath controlling herself, from a burst of outrage burning deep in her core, “Quite awhile ago, when I was found by Victor.”
She sat quietly for a little time, before she randomly asked, “Are you planning to kill me?” The obvious answer was yes. She really didn’t care if that was what was in store for her. Death was just another path, in which all would take. For some of her kind, one they might not ever venture through. Besides, sometimes she really wished she did not exist in the world. Sometimes it was too much for her. The world, the people, the troubles. It was just to confusing. That was her human side coming out. In some way, she was still attached to mortality. It was still part of her, unlike other vampires.

Cameron listened to her and noted her question of if he was going to kill her. He didn’t know the answer to that off the top of his head. There were defiantly pros and cons to do that. The pros were that she would be dead and one less major vampire threat that he was going to have to worry about. The cons would be that Victor would be pissed and there just simply wasn’t going to be any stopping him at that point. However, this gave Cameron an interesting thought. Victor was probably already pissed. How much more pissed could he possibly be if she died? He was still going to come for the base; he was still going to come and try to kill everyone and everything that stood in his way. Cameron, in either case would still have the help that he had been promised in either case. With that help he did feel far more confident about what had to be done. He looked at her and then stood up, walking back over to her, “I do have reason to. I think you understand that.” Cameron said as he looked at Sara in the eyes. “I could, you also understand this. You could kill me here and now, but in the end, there is not getting out of this base unless in a body bag and me personally, I would put in a canopic jar as ash before I would let a full body leave here. I have no idea of your regeneration abilities.” Cameron said, “So I have a choice to make.”

Sara listened. No emotion was displayed on her face, as he spoke about what he could or couldn’t do. She sat there contently, listening closely to the sound of silence surrounding his voice. Her eyes drifted to one side, and when he stopped she remained silent. Death, never really bothered her. Even in her character, that was displayed. She saw death as an escape, as another route to another life of sorts.
“I have no reason to kill you,” she said catching his eyes, “You could undo these cuffs and I’d swear that I would not harm you. I’d give you my word. But even I know, that, that is against protocol. I am not about to demand it.”
Her teenage fears, were what had made her stronger. They had been the source of strength for her, for so many years. Her eyes stayed with his, not moving to any other motion, they were locked to his, “One day, I will die. I am sure of that. Despite being immortal, I know I will die. But why play with someone’s death like a god? Why say who is going to die, when and where? I know I have taken lives, but I have never planned it.”
As much as her body wanted her to break out of the cuffs, she denied her arms that strength. Instead she sat lethargically in the seat. No single emotion was displayed as she spoke of death. She had not clue of reincarnation in vampires, she’d never seen or heard of it. However, she guessed, if the devil wished it, he would send those back. Sara herself, would not wish to return. She had no reason behind not wanting to return to earth if she died. She just knew she didn’t want too.

She was right one thing. The cuffs were not going to come off any time in the near future. Cameron had a good sense that she could break free of them, yet she was unwilling to do so. He really didn’t know what to make of this situation. He understood that he had one of the vampire masters in his base, within arm’s reach of him. He understood that at any moment she could leap out and attempt to kill him. He understood that there was an angry vampire king out there coming after him because he held his queen. He understood that he was going to have to fight the largest single vampire army in the world to defend the world, the same world that had cast out his Resistance and called him an outcast for even mentioning vampires as reality. He understood that he had undergone some changes in the past few days that would allow him to defeat Victor, or at least not be cast aside like nothing when they did fight. And they would fight, Cameron was sure of this.
The whole concept reminded him of the movies. The classical villain was always pitted against the hero. The hero was always outmatched and outnumbered, yet the hero would dig down deep and find the strength, courage and fortitude to somehow win the day. It was a fascinating concept and one that was portrayed by Hollywood and other movie companies so well. Never before did Cameron see himself as being the hero. There was a long moment of silence where Cameron simply looked at Sara. His expression was void and lacked much emotion, as did hers. It took him a while to respond to her, trying to think of something logical to say. “I think, in the end that is God that decides whether we live or die. After all he created us.” Cameron said calmly, pausing for a moment before he continued, “God will decide my death, your death, and Victor’s death.” Cameron concluded, standing up. “It is three days to Halloween, the Day of the Dead, and the day of your kind. Will it come then?” Cameron asked.
