Brandon had heard that there was a hybrid on the loose somewhere in Hawaii and he did not desire for such a creature to go unchecked. He and six other Marines moved through the dark alley ways searching for the creature. Above them was a Black Hawk chopper informing them where to search. There were search teams of around six soldiers all over the city. They were heavily armed with silver ammunition as we as wooden stakes, pretty much anything it would take to kill a vampire and a werewolf, the task was to find her.

Hawaii was intense. This was Lucia's first time on United States' American soil, even if it wasn't part of the mainland. It was her first step to finding her mother. She had taken a ship, because none of the international flights were scheduled to leave at night and arrive at night. And in the ship, she could stay below deck in her room, away from the sunlight, for the entire duration of the day, and still roam about at night hours. It seemed to be her understanding that the Vampire base was still quite a distance away, but Lucia hoped to find out exactly how far. She needed to get a few things straightened out, and become more accustomed to the American culture. But so far, what she had heard of the American culture had not turned out to necessarily be true on Hawaii. The nights were much hotter than she was familiar with, but the Humans did not seem to accept walking around after sunset in the nude or even in bikinis. Well, how the hell was she suppose to keep cool? She had determined that it was more important to fit in among the Humans here, though, and bundled herself up in a white husband-beater and black Capri's. The scent of grilled meat was in the air, and dictated Lucia's path for a while, leading her to a couple of bar and grills that were both within a couple of blocks of each other. They both looked so appetizing, and the Humans within so appealing, it was hard for the young woman to make up her mind. But she finally choose the bar and grill that appeared more traditional luau with the waitresses in grass skirts. She stood in the entrance for a moment, looking around at all of the activity; there were so many conversations going on. Everything, everyone, looked so good.

As Lucia walked through the city streets the searching Marines came steadily closer and closer towards her. Flashlights shown down every alley way as their search for the hyrbrid continued. Brandon flew on ahead with the chopper, the giant strobe light attached to the bottom of the chopper was shining extremely brightly. As he flew ahead the light shown over Lucia. Brandon hovered for a moment. Something didn't feel right about her. He radioed over the intercom. " We have a possible target at the intersection between 32nd and 3rd. " Almost instantly from an alley that lead to that intersection a Marine team of six men appeared shining light onto her. " Get down! " They ordered

Lucia turned quickly, an arm over her eyes to block out some of the light. What the Hell was this? Somewhere under the light of the flashlights, six dark silhouettes stood, holding the outline of guns. No, they weren't just the outline, they were real guns. Her arm remained covering her eyes; was all of that light really necessary? It hurt her pupils, and was taking forever for them to become adjusted to. "Oh sh…" Lucia muttered as the men became clearer in her vision. How had they known who she was? She didn't care; but she hadn't heard anything good about the military personal of the United States, or of government in general. All eyes of the bar and grill luau were on Lucia as the squad aimed their lights and weapons at her, commanding her obedience. All of her efforts to fit in with these Humans for naught. Her face was grave, but she knelt slowly on one knee and then on the other, deciding to save any revolts for a time when so many civilians wouldn't witness it. If these men worked for Victor, they would not live for long.

He marines formed a circle around her as she got down on her knees. They radioed up to Brandon in the chopper. " She is complying sir. Why would a hybrid comply? " They asked. Brandon was sure but he wasn't taking any chances. " I don't know, i am not taking chances. Tag and bag her. " The marines, as soon as hearing this moved in as one grabbed her hands and placed her in a pair of silver handcuffs as another marine moved up and clamped a large metal collar around her neck that had a pole attached to it so that they could move her around by the pole. Using this they rose her back to her feet and pulled her forward. " Lets move! " They yelled as they began to move back to where they had come from as by now another marine team had arrived making 12 men.

"No..!" Lucia protested as the handcuffs were slapped onto her. "Wait," it became apparent to her quickly that they were made of silver; they began to itch in a burning kind of way. "What do you want?" She hoped the red rings of irritation around her wrists could not be seen, and she had to fight the urge to rub and scratch at them. As the collar was placed around her neck, she tried to stand quickly, "Stop!" She shouted now, so that all of the Humans nearby would hear her, "I'm going peacefully. You can't do this to me; I haven't done anything wrong! I'm not some wild ANIMAL!" The tug of the pole at her collar lurched her forward; Lucia wanted to put her weight down and stand against the pulling, but refrained herself to make it seem to the civilians around that she was the victim here. She followed their lead, and looked around as the first group of six was joined with another, "Why are you doing this to me?"

Brandon's soldiers led her back down the alleyway. They did not answer he questions for they did not need to do so. As they walked on of the men noticed the red ring around her wrists were the handcuffs had been placed. Instantly they knew what they had. He radioed up to Brandon and told him the news. The people around were to afraid to do anything, for Brandon's men had military uniforms and were heavily armed. They led Lucia to a warehouse and one men opened the large door and they dragged her inside. Inside the warehouse was about 30 more men and a table with straps on it. " On the table. " The men pulled Lucia to the table, uncuffed her and threw her onto the table and placed the silver straps on the table around her hands and feet and one around her neck and then waited for Brandon to arrive.

"No!" Lucia protested, and began to lean back and resist against their pulling as they got her into the warehouse. "What the f**k is this!" Disgust and anger lined her voice. The stark furnishings of this place gave the area an unhappy air to it that was thick and quite chilling to Lucia. And the presence of so many soldiers just added to the foreboding heaviness all around. She resisted as she was pulled closer to the table, but the touch of the silver straps on her flesh weakened her protests, and she was pulled down and fastened to the table. It felt like her skin was burning and beginning to peel off in the areas where the silver lay. And she writhed briefly as a painful shudder climbed her spine. The silver strap across her neck especially was suffocating; she tried to push herself further up the table by bending her knees, to try and relieve the strap on her neck. But that strap was there to stay it seemed, and she just moved slightly, and uncomfortably. "I'm not a f**king animal." She did not shout now, and there was a strong European accent to her words, but they were loaded and came out thickly. Her gaze moved slowly around the room, stopping to glare at the six who had first approached her. This was kind of kinky, but not cool.

After a few moment, the sound of a helicopter landing could be heard on the rooftop and in another minute Brandon Smith walked into the room. His men shook his head and he congradulated them and walked over to the hybrid. " A live hybrid. " He said as he paced around her. " How is it that i am so honored to have your presence in my facility. " He said with a smile. " Do forgive the restraints, they are for your own good. " He said as he stood next to her, by her left side. " So tell me, who are you? How did you become a hybrid? Why didn't you fight back? "

Lucia scowled as this new man entered the room smiling and shaking hands with the other military personal; congratulating them on capturing her. Like she was some trophy, a possession or prize for sale or barter. She'd never been given trouble anywhere in Europe; this was only her second night in Hawaii and already she knew America sucked. "F**k. You." She spoke in hate at his 'honor'. And when he said the restraints were for her own good, she spat, "Che cazzo! 'For my own good' that's s**t! How did you become such a d*ck!?!" Crimson eyes glared up at this officer, but Lucia took a breath to calm down ever so slightly. "Let me go." She had attacked no one upon arriving in Hawaii, and had gone willingly, at first, with those men. The hybrid was not happy about her restraints that cut hatefully into her.

He looked around at his men and couldn't help but cast a small laugh. " Well she certainly is a talkative one now isn't she. " He said to his men before looking back at the hybrid. " But you will tell us what we want to know or there will be rather large consequences. " He said calmly as he took out a small black object from his pocket. ' This is a modified tazer. However, instead of the usual shock you receive a bar of silver nitrate runs through the center instead to increase the burn and numb the body. Lets test it. " He said as he stepped over to her and tazed her with the weapon on her left thigh.

The muscles of her thigh spasmed painfully and involuntarily, and her hips began to shake to break free of the contact. But the shaking just brought on more forceful contact with the silver restraints at her ankles, wrists, and neck as she tried to fight. Her leg jerked, and the muscles continued to twitch for a while even after she told them not to. And then from the point where the taser had been touching her thigh, a patch of numbness spread out along her body, making everything painfully tingly and hard to move. Lucia did not doubt the consequences would be large; it sounded like this man had been the death of at least a couple of hybrids in the past, but she wouldn't give up any incriminating information to these men. She would do what she had been taught at a very early age to do; she would lie. And because of her many years of lying, it would be convincing. "I hate you," she muttered under clenched teeth. She looked away from him for a moment, as if hating what she was about to say, "I am Desma Jasper. How do you think I became a hybrid?" Lucia paused briefly, breathing slowly, and despising the burning numbness that froze her thigh. "I was born this way. From two other hybrids."

He listened to her speak and couldn't help but utter a small laugh as she mentioned her hating him. He didn't really care all that much, after all, he was not very concerned about her acting on her hatred. " Well Desma, can you tell me who the names of your hybrid parents are? " He asked as he tazed her leg once again so that it would encourage her to answer the question truthfully. His men by now were cleaning their weapons and such and minding their own business and letting Brandon mind his own.

"F**k!" She cursed hatefully as he tazed her again. "Leave them out of this. It doesn't matter," she told him. Lucia shook her head slowly, refusing to give the names up at first, but glanced at his taser and thought twice. "You don't need to know that information, so just leave them alone! And let me go! Why are you doing this?" Lucia clenched her jaw, and glared up at this man; his laughter angered her, and she wanted to pull out all his teeth and press them into his eyes, and then tase him, right in the mouth. Sometimes she really hated Humans. "...Dimitri and Ana Jasper," she threw out names she had used before, before the man would taze her again. There were probably a few couples with those names if this guy really felt like harassing people, and she wouldn't have to worry about him actually finding out who her real parents were. No good would come if that was revealed, she thought.

His eyebrow rose whenever she threw out two random names. Something told him that that wasn't exactly the correct answer. However, he kept his thoughts to himself. He looked back at the woman and was silent for a moment. " Why should i let you go? " He asked calmly. " After all, you are a dangerous animal that should be slain. " He said as he folded his arms across his chest awaiting her answer. " Can you tell me that you have never killed a human before? " He asked as he knew that she must have killed at least one in her lifetime.
