It wasn't that Christina found it hard for him to prefer military over family, she found it hard to believe that he never wanted a break. That she wanted to be normal if only for a litte while. It was odd to her, and she almost felt sorry for him, She leaned against the wall to think, wondering why his choices were confusing so much. Why did she even care?

Cameron rubbed his hands with his eyes and walked out from his room. He needed to get some more coffee. He walked down the hall and turned right and saw Christina leaning against the wall. He stopped and looked at her, " You alright?" He asked.

"Hm? Yeah, I'm fine," she said with a smile to him. "Um, where's my room? I'm a little confused," she asked of him. She had taken too many turns and lost her way in the process.

Cameron smiled and pointed down the hall, " Down the hall, take a left and your room is the second door on the right." Cameron said calmly and before she moved to go he put his hand gently on her right arm." You sure you're ok?"

She flinshed at first then nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine," she smiled and then looked away then back at him, "Make sure you're careful when you go okay? I'd hate to lose my only friend here," she said, trying to not sound clingy or anything. She was just homesick was all, and he was the only person she felt she could trust.

He nodded his head, " I will be careful as i can be in war." Cameron said calmly, " But it is a war and there will be fighting so i am not sure that i can stay alive, no matter how trained." Cameron said and leaned over and kissed Christina's forehead," But get some sleep." He said calmly and beckoned for her to return to her room.

She turned red and nodded, quickly returning to her room so he wouldn't see how red her face had become. Why did she care so much? Why was she so red? What power did this man truly have over her? She didn't know but she knew if Brandon found out, someone would never hear the end of it.

_____________ After leaving the library she quickly went to Cameron's office. When he stood up from his work, she walked over and smacked him. "You brought a lycan to a human's base! Did you not see what a lycan did to me?! She could kill us all and yet you let her wander about! How can you be so stupid?!" She asked acting more out of fear and memories than rationality, and she wasn't mad or so she wasn't driven by anger. She just didn't understand Cameron's thought process on this.

Cameron looked at Christina, turning his head a bit, but not much. He looked at Christina and sighed. “Not all werewolves attacked you. Besides the new ones are harmless until the full moon which is not for another three days. If it really concerns you, you can just stay down here until she leaves.” Cameron said calmly. He wasn’t going to get upset about this. It would be rather pointless.

"Amd in three days, what then? She'll kill us all!" She said looking out the door. "She's a beast Cameron, when she was changed, she became a beast, she is not human Cameron, she is the very thing you fight, so why do you keep her alive? If you kill her while she's weak, then that's one less lycan to exterminate." Honestly, Cameron should slap her at this point. Never before had Chris became so blind sighted, and for a moment she even believed that. Mayne helping the army was starting to get to her.

Cameron raised an eyebrow at her insane state at this point and raised his voice a bit more than he meant to. It was annoying to have someone questioning his views and decisions in such harsh ways. " Well firstly, if you haven't noticed, we have sort of a shaky alliance with the werewolves, so killing her, well would be bad. Then you have to understand that they are human. I mean, she is human now, and until that night comes, she is such and will be treated as such. Now, when that night comes and she turns, she will be in a room as she has already agreed to. A safe room where she can't get out....trust me, we have enough places to keep her and everyone else safe." Cameron said, walking over to Christina.

"Cameron, she is a monster, why can't you see that?" She asked in a softer tone, "And what if she got loose Cameron? What then?"

" Well considering the fact that she actually volunteered to be studied makes me believe that she won't. Even so, we have held werewolves in similar rooms and they did not escape. She will not escape. Trust me." He said. He couldn't tell if it was anger or concern for her life that was driving Christina at this particular moment.

She nodded and sat in the chair that was infront of his desk for his guests and bit her neils. She was calmer but still worried, which was only natural. She sat not looking at him, feeling bad about slapping him.

Cameron moved his hand to his jaw and moved it around over his face. He sighed and leaned on his desk, looking at Christina. “You’ll be fine.” He reassured. Cameron stood up and walked over to Christina and put his hand on her shoulder and placed his other hand on her cheek, “I would never let anything bad happen to you.” He whispered.
